Heard on local radio the other day, they called it something, not a power nap. Can't remember, but anyway...

They say to drink a cup of coffee 10 minutes before a nap. That way when you wake up, the caffeine is just hitting, so it makes you feel more rested.

Take that as you will.

Between the office, house and cars, I have to change ~10 clocks. SUCKS. The cars are the worst...each one is different on how to change the time and I can never remember.

Pick a time and stick with it. I would prefer more night daylight time though.

Stick with how we have more light later. Stop changing the clocks.

But that also means that some places do not get sunrise until 8:20am in December

As dad said in 1974-There is no ****ing reason why it should be dark at 8am.

Who cares? People will adjust. They’re resilient. It’ll be no bigger of a culture shock than a Grandma from Georgia going to the Bronx.

Or Maine we just accept the 24 hour clock.

Wtf does it matter how early the sun comes up? Most people are at school or work at that time, so who cares. Much rather have that extra hour of daylight while I can enjoy it.

my argument from 2022

Quote:
Minneapolis

Now with partial year DST
June 21 Sunrise 4:47 Sunset 9:03
Dec 21 Sunrise 7:40 Sunset 4:40

without permanent DST
June 21 Sunrise 3:47 Sunset 8:03
Dec 21 Sunrise 7:40 Sunset 4:40

With Permanent DST
June 21 Sunrise 4:47 Sunset 9:03
Dec 21 Sunrise 8:40 Sunset 5:40

Granted, no plan is perfect. Somewhere there is a bad time, especially if you live near a time zone change

Now we shift 2x a year, but many do that anyway when they vacation.
If states are allowed to make their own rules, then someone could have 5 time changes by driving from Minn to texas. Talk about stupid.

Russia wants to change from 12 time zones to 5. There is a reason there is 24 zones.

I know someone on another forum that tried to NOT observe DST. It lasted about a week. It was too hard adjusting to everyone else that changed.

If you are smart, it takes about 3 days to adjust. Drink water. Take a nap or 3. Get over it pussies.

Next people will only allow vasectomies during NCAA weekend so they can "rest"
I was really surprised when a teacher said many of her students had NO CLUE the time had changed. Why? They live and die by their phone, it changed at 2am automatically, and the alarm wakes them up no matter what time their bodies thinks it is. They just took it as regular time.

There was a site that could tell what it would look like in your city, but I cannot find it now.

There is a whole workforce that doesn't work in an office. Most outdoor construction kicks off summer hours. Job begins at first light and ends before the hottest part of the afternoon. I loved later sunsets because we could get more overtime.
