Spending the weekend in Vegas for my boy's bachelor party. I'm positive that we will have no problems finding trouble, but figured I'd come here and listen to suggestions. Best places to eat, watch the games, best bargains, strip clubs, etc. We're all big fans of sports, and titties, so probably be posted up watching/betting on games by day, and partying/looking for strange by night. What ya got CP?

wow. really? don't get butt hurt. What I meant by saying I was there 2 weeks ago is the pools should still be open. They say on their websites pools are open year round. So yea the pools will be open. I'll tell you what the weather is today 2 weeks from now and then we can argue over pool times again, kay?

Dude from Montana (beautiful state though it is) telling a Vegas resident what the weather in Vegas is like and when the pools are open based on what he read on teh intrawebs and a 3 day stay a couple weeks ago.

What's next? You gonna' tell Carlotta what kind of music the radio stations in Vegas play?

I go to Vegas a lot given the cheap flights. So I have a very, very good idea of the seasons there. All I have to do is check the weather too. I was sitting pool side in the Mirage as was a lot of people the end of September and its not based on what I read on the web. I pointed out they say on the websites pools are open year round if you want to check it out.

I think it is called Mon Ami Gabbi or something. Been there as well and yes, it's very good. I also like Stack in The Mirage. The waitresses are, as you'd imagine, stacked. But the food is top notch too.

I'll take video from my comped Aria suit on the 54th floor with a closer shot of the sky. I'll shoot video on the Vdara pool with people swimming in it from my floor. Then you might just back off a little when you realize I know what I'm talking about.

I live here and I'm very active in the community of Las Vegas and the goings ons...not all the pools are open year round, meaning "Bare", "Encore Beach Club". And I was joking with you. You do realize you were telling a native of Vegas what the weather is and is going to be even though you don't live here, right?

Oh and BTW, you sound like a complete egotistical douche with your "I'll take videos from my comped Aria room...blah blah..blah.." Theres people in the US and on this board who would love to get a free room almost anywhere in this city but cant because they're unemployed or broke in general. Also, City Center is a complete ****ing joke in Vegas, but since you know everything about Vegas, then you probably already know that righr?

The whole Strip is pretty much a ****ing joke anymore, IMO. We stayed off strip in September and never set foot on the strip other than to cash a Super Bowl ticket for a friend at Ceasar's. We spent our gambling time off strip and downtown and enjoyed better gambling odds and very few douchebags.

Last time me and the wife went we had a better time and spent less on the old strip. Cheaper drinks, much better food deals, same ****ing slot machines/table games...

if you want to stay downtown, the golden nugget did a total remodel a year or 2 ago. extremely nice and very economical.
won more playing blackjack downtown, than i'd ever done (and i'd like to think that i'm pretty good).
drank for free (always tip the ladies). ate for cheap. i've said it before, best steak i've EVAH had was at the steakhouse at the top of Binions. very old school. felt like i was in an old mobster movie. guido the host with the giant pinkie ring, classic vegas!!!

Exactly!!! Downtown is where its at unless you are some douchy "Affliction" wearing fool who thinks hes Johnny Vegas and wants to blow $30 on one drink just to impress the hooker on his arm. Dont get me wrong, they are good for our economy and we welcome them, but thats not what locals do. We also hit downtown for great steaks (Hugos Cellar), and cheap well made drinks. Golden Nugget is a great spot, especially for the money. The Plaza was just remodeled as well. In fact, they got all their stuff from the Fountain Blue project which took a shit due to the economy. So they got uber nice stuff for little money.

Check out Hugos Cellar at Four Queens next time. Best steak Ive had in town and for the $$ hands down the best, plus you still get that old school vegas mob feel.
