CEH averages about less than 6 TDs/season rushing/receiving. Jacobs averages 10.

Finally, Jacobs has had just one injury-shortened season, and still scored 9 TDs rushing, while CEH has never played a full season, never scored more than 4 TDs rushing in a season.

In fact, in 2021, when Jacobs ran for just 872 yards, that's still 69 more yards than CEH ran for in his best season, 803.

And while we're at it, the 4.4yds/att is literally the best performance Clyde has ever had, Jacobs has had two out of his four seasons averaging 4.8-4.9yds/carry, including last season (.4.9).

Yards/att by itself is not a great indicator of a RB's performance.

Oh, and yes, Jacobs does look faster and smoother and better when he runs. The difference is so obvious, I didn’t think anybody needed the reminder, lol.
Jacobs is better. But this whole post is nonsense because you're comparing totals without factoring in opportunities at all. Your comparison of jacobs 872 to CEH 803 doesn't mention 35 more carries for jacobs. Or that you are going to compare tds when the raiders can hand it off to jacobs or let Carr throw and the Chiefs are picking between letting mahomes throw or hand it off and be a spectator.

Lol, oh now we want context. Before it was "4.4=4.4," or whatever.

So you're suggesting that if CEH just had more carries he'd be on the same production level as Jacobs?

Yah. Not a chance. And we haven't even talked about durability/availability. One guy has missed 8 games in 4 years, while the other has missed 18 in 3.

One guy is a homerun rusher with a 86 yard TD run, and the other guy . . . anyone think CEH could outrun any defense for 80+ yards?

Yeah, I don't think so either.

Case closed.

Are you really spending your Saturday convincing people here that Josh Jacobs is better than CEH? And you feel like you’ve accomplished something?

This was my first foray into the conversation, so yeah. Context is very important.

Jacobs has the 86 yard and what, one other 50+ yard rush in his career? CEH has one 50+ yard run in 700 less carries. That's not the stat you think it is.

And in two of jacobs seasons he averaged 4.0 or less. CEH has never averaged less than 4.3 so yeah he's had similar production. He's not as good. I'm not arguing that. But jacobs is not as good as you are trying to argue he is.

And to say that CEH won't play after this season is laughable as well. He's not going to get a starters contract but he'll be on a team somewhere because he's better than you give him credit for too.

Jacobs averages around 24 yards/rush when he breaks a longer run:
https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/jos...st-career-rush

CEH averages about 14:
https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/cly...ongest-carries

Jacobs has accumulated 4740 yards in his 4 seasons. CEH has just 1622. Three 1,000+ yard seasons vs. none. Not even close to a single 1,000 yard season.

And more importantly, Jacobs averages 10 TDs/season. On the ground.

CEH averages 4?

Jacobs is a legit top-10 RB (statistically over the last 4 years he's top-5), meaning that there are probably at least 16, maybe as many as 25 teams that would gladly exchange their current RB1 for Jacobs if the money/compensation made sense.

Name a team that would take CEH right now as their RB1. Any team in the top 15? How about top 20? Any team?

I always liked Clyde's personality and work ethic, but the reality is that he's injury-prone and probably better suited as a backup/RB2, but he's not a RB1 in the NFL.

Jacobs could start for all but a handful of teams and produce at a higher level than all but 5-7 RB1s.

Jacobs may not be 'elite,' but he's a top-10 RB and has been for his entire career. Facts.

Jacobs is decent and has his up and down games. He probably would do much better with Mahomes as his QB versus Carr.

He will suit up this year for the Raiders though.

Jimmy will be a new QB and at least the Raiders have moved on from Carr. They could sink to the bottom or might surprise the league. They have some offensive pieces but QB is a big question mark. I think Jimmy will play better under McDaniel's and won't be exposed to injury like he was under Shanahan.

Lol, never going to happen. Despite the two stories I’ve seen, I doubt Veach is even remotely interested.

Well shit, I’ll have to settle for winning 2 of every 4 Super Bowls.

Such a pathetic joke.

Well Veach could be interested depending on what the Raiders would want for a trade and how a contract could be laid out.

The Chiefs have used draft capital on getting a RB and seem to cycle the position every year along with signing have been names over the past few years. Having Jacobs would take pressure off Mahomes and would give the Chiefs a new wrinkle in their system.

Well okay. There may be a minuscule chance that Veach is interested. And sure Jacobs would be a real asset. But he’s a $10-12 million dollar player, and probably worth at least a 3rd. I just doubt Veach would be interested at that price point.
