Tank the rest of the season to get the best draft picks possible next year. Then trade Mahomes & Chris Jones for many more draft picks. Fire Andy Reid and hire Deion Sanders & draft his kid as our new QB. It may take 3 or 4 years, but we're bound to get back to the playoffs at some point!

The last 2 drafts have put us in this spot. The biggest issues are LT, the pass rush and depth at corner. Felix looks like a bust relative to his draft position. Unfortunately Kingsley does too (though he is TBD). They missed badly on Kamal Hadden as he didn’t even make it through camp. Nazeeh Johnson is also struggling. They’ve got Conner and Hicks from day 3 of the draft the last 2 years but not much else. I think Wanya has exceeded the expectations of a late 3rd rd pick but is still not a great pick. It just shows how hard this league is. Small mistakes add up. You aren’t gonna .300 every year. Nobody does. They hit a home run in the 2021 draft and then hit a grand slam in the 2022 draft but the last 2 drafts have been singles/doubles. Not bad by any means but they need more. FWIW I think Rice and Worthy break out big time next year, so there’s good news there. They have 3 draft picks in the top 66 picks and 4 in the top 100. They need to get guys that are talented, not developmental and can get on the field year 1. Guys like Bryan Cook, Leo Chenal, Jaylen Watson or Isiah Pacheco who can at least get on the field and be a decent starter year 1 instead of Skyy Moore’s. Big offseason coming up

Guys, what if we just ****en lose every game the rest of the season to get a better draft pick? Do you think that would be advantageous?

It’s hard to see how we are going to solve our left tackle problem unless either Kingsley or Morris improves to the extent necessary or we get lucky in the draft or free agency.
As I said, in another thread, Since 2017 there have only been three OT drafted after the first round that made the pro bowl. Dawkins for Buffalo, O’Neill for Minnesota and Orlando Brown. Tyler Smith of the Cowboys was drafted 24th in 2022 so maybe also could’ve been considered in reach. Very good left tackles Don’t usually become available in free agency and I doubt we could fit anyone that did within our cap space.’ Maybe we can make another trade like we did with Orlando Brown Junior. No one comes immediately to mine though. |

No need to panic, the Chiefs won the game. It was ugly but happens like that sometimes. |
