That catch out of bounds AGAIN by Worthy is becoming a problem. Poor field awareness.
He had a much better game and made a hell of a catch deep on the right where he took a huge hit and held onto the ball. I was impressed. Delayed blitzes against Allen are hard to to pulloff. He did pretty well. Chris Jones and Kelce were MIA. Our secondary had some issues. Our O-line just a hot mess. Mahomes is scary this year and not in a good way. Would be nice to be undefeated but we all knew it was not gonna happen. I think we had no injuries today so that is the positive. Noah Gray played well. So did Chenal. Cook has a tough game. Next week we need to tee off on the Panthers.

Don’t look now but Chris Jones has only 3 sacks. Projected to have fewest sacks since his rookie year.
Yikes

Pretty sure they wren't rushing 3 and dropping 8 on every series. And we were down 9 because our offense only scored 3 times all game. And scoring efficiency has been a problem for awhile now. And I mean for a couple seasons. And if we just go back to a couple three weeks ago, our defense allowed 17 pts to TB in the 2nd half. And if Bowles had any nuts, he goes for two and they probably win. But he doesn't, so they don't, and everyone congratulates the team for winning another game, when in reality, TB/Bowles handed it to us instead of taking it from us. Then last week, our offense managed just two FGs in the 2nd half and it takes an improbable ST play to steal a W from DEN. And you know how many times DHop was targeted in the 2nd half of that game? ONCE. And tonight zero times on our last drive. When we needed our best players out there making plays, we targeted Perine 3 times and JWat once before Pat threw the INT. And even that throw didn't make much sense to me, because Travis looked bracketed to me. The A-22 may say different, in which case I'll apologize, but as of right now, he didn't look open to me. I mean, it is what it is. And more than likely it will get sorted out before the playoffs. I'm 99% certain it will. But I'm not going to pretend the offense is functioning well, or that our scant offensive resources are currently being used as efficiently as possible, because I just don't believe that. Ymmv.

Yeah, I'm hopeful Omenihu will help the DL significantly as well. Might take a couple weeks for him to get back into the flow, but he'll help out alot once he does.

He had a below average game for his standards…but let’s keep it all in perspective. We just won 15 games in a row, including the Super Bowl. WBF. Worthy will get more involved. Hollywood will make an impact. Omenihu will force teams to not double CJ95 all game. Johnson and Williams will continue to improve week to week. The only thing that concerns me is LT. Gotta figure that out. |

We didn't deserve to win but I'm really not bothered about the loss, it felt a tall order with the injuries and in their backyard.
There's only a couple of gripes I have and they feel pretty fixable. The OTs are ass and it's frustrating seeing how hard they make longer developing plays. Like others I'd like to see us run it more and/or use more creative play calling to slow the rush down, as our entire OL has been off at times. But if we meet them again, I kinda think we will. If we don't, then yeah, time to be annoyed. I'm not 100% convinced Donovan Smith improves things this late in the season, but the LT issue is not going away. The other is our DL. It's been good against the run but anaemic when it comes to pass rushing. Bills were the first team that Spags couldn't use blitzes to mask this difficiency. After the injury I don't think we can count on Omenihu to change things drastically, we're just going to need to get a lot more from Karlaftis, Danna and the rest. They're not doing enough, at all. LBs in coverage remain not very good, but the lack of a 4 man rush feels the bigger issue. Mahomes...hasn't been good. He's nowhere near the level he's reached in the past, but then again we've been here before and the playoffs have been different. Other than that, it was great to see Worthy on that drive. Still a mixed bag but positive to see some semblance of a connection with Mahomes. |

Yeah, there is no way this was our A plan for attacking Buffalo. In a must have game Kelce would be peppered with targets in the middle of the field. Buffalo's defensive had the intermediate middle of the field open the whole game and we refused to send weapons there. No misdirection as Buffalo D was just running mindlessly 100 MPH as they always do towards the first motion of the ball carrier. No screens, No RPO's. Mcdermott defense can't stop an RPO, etc

Our secondary was filled with holes.
