It was all season long

We had prime Mahomes, Kelce and Tyreek and kept turning the ball over and couldn't score.

FFS we had a 7 game stretch where we offense scored only scored 20, 3, 20, 13, 19 and 22 in 6 of those 7 games.

Mahomes was "broken" with 7 TD's/4 INT's in that 7 game streak and the offense was just like it was today. The Raiders game, like this year, was a mirage and made the offense look better despite Mahomes having 2 TD's/4 INT's in the other 6 games. We were even 8-4 just like we are now

People bitched and moaned and wanted EB fired just like Nagy

No question.

Championships are hard. Repeating them is pretty much a statistical anomaly.

Nobody did anything catastrophically stupid or arrogant. At worst, there were some very defensible miscalculations made.

So we learn, adapt, see if we can steal one in a diminished capacity this year, get back to fire-breathing next season.

It won't take nearly as much as is being suggested. A quality veteran to replace JJSS and another high round rookie to supplant Moore. We should be in nice shape at that point.

And yet we averaged 29.4 PPG which was right in line with the other seasons outside of 2018. Now that Bieniemy is gone and this penis headed **** Nagy is here we've dropped all the way to 22.8. This current offensive staff ****ing sucks. Hopefully we can bring Kafka back and fire Nagy out of this organization.

2021 was "The Year of the 2-Deep Shell." Every defense we played refused to get beat deep. They were terrified of Tyreek Hill, and rightly so. Patrick had a difficult time adjusting to that new reality. Eventually, he came around to taking what defenses were giving us and our offense was tough to stop by the end of the year.

2022 was a brand new offense. We had a bunch of new pieces, a stronger running game using multiple tight ends, and Patrick played out of his mind. Defenses were unprepared.

In 2023, defenses have wised up to our offensive system sans Hill. They're just not respecting our deep threats. The coaching staff has to figure out a way to punish teams cheating up with their safeties. They're playing us differently than they did last year, and much, much differently than they did in 2021.

It’s a new version of spoiled. I think some believe mahomes shows his greatness by elevating those around him. Others know mahomes has another gear and can’t wait for him to show it when he’s actually surrounded by solid talent. The right answer is probably somewhere in between, given our gap reality

Are you really comparing the offenses of 2021 to this year in relation to Nagy? Bc wow. Prime Kelce, Tyreek, younger McKinnon and vs no Tyreek, older declining injured Kelce, older washed McKinnon, rookie Rice and a bunch of shit surrounding him at WR?

It's clearly a talent issue. It's plain as day.

Also, what happened to the 2021 offense in the AFCCG? Keep in mind Nagy was in Chicago that year.

Agreed. Buffalo is a good example because they’ve been trying to do a lot of things with 12 and 13 personnel. It was really Dawson Knox getting hurt that forced them to get more aggressive with 3 wr sets. It isn’t just us.

Then you look at the evolution of offenses like Jacksonville, Dallas and Green Bay. All happening midseason. They have personnel flexibility to make these adjustments. We’re a little behind the curve but that’s ok. We will get there

Would you prefer 2022 instead? Because we did 29.2 then and the only differences between the. And now are new Ts and Rice over JJSS. Oh, and replacing Bieniemy with a worthless chode like Nagy.

McKinnon had 9 TD's for us last year. He's washed this year. He looks completely done.

Kelce was amazing last year. 12 TD's and very consistent. This year he's clearly showing some age and has played through a knee and ankle injury.

That's the difference

Probably should try and replicate some of that with guys like Pacheco, Hardman, and Toney with the ball in their hands in space. Nah, let's just funnel ALL of that work to Rice and throw MVS and Moore out there to take all the snaps.

They're using Rice like a Maxi-Hardman which makes no sense. On average his catches have come 3 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. That's insane.

Yes. I have a hard time believing the 2018 and 19 versions of Mahomes really knew the WR routes and adjustments like he does now. He just let the ball fly, and while I understand he had Tyreek Hill and a prime version of Travis Kelce, and defenses didn't expect the offense, he made throws he doesn't even attempt to now and hadn't had time to build the chemistry he has with Kelce now or Tyreek then.

I'll never be an EB fan, but I think they miss his attitude, not necessarily the X's and O's part. This team has no one now who gets in your face on offense when players keep making these mistakes. I think they've got nothing but players coaches on offense full of Andy Reid lacky's. If Reid wasn't the HC, the coaching staff would be facing an enormous amount of heat on the offensive side.

I hate this offense so bad. When Andy retires, I hope his offense goes with it. I'd love an offense from the Shanahan coaching tree.

Give Mahomes his weapons, and let him work his magic going forward. And by weapons, I don't mean JAG's from other teams rosters like we have been doing.Castoffs from the G-men?

Get Mahomes some real talent to go with Rice going forward. If we have the 20th rated defense, so be it.
Yep, and it's a ****ing failure. Veach shoulda paid Hill, signed or traded for an actual #1 WR, and/or should have taken advantage of the best WR drafts in recent memory. Instead, he bargain basement shopped and the offense blows. This team didn't get to 5 AFC championship games, 3 SBs with 2 victories because of the defense. They are trying that now....and it's failing.

You hate this offense that has been the best in the NFL the past 5 years?

Anyone from the Shanahan coaching tree would do no better with one of the worst WR groups in the league.
