*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Maybe, BUT maybe not. At least ball out !! This is the playoffs and you are behind and were expected to win big only to about to lose embarrassingly in your own house AGAIN to the same team from a year before and now this game is the playoffs and you are not going to lay out when you are in the waning moments?? This is all I am saying and just trying to get across. Not you personally of course but you get my point.

Maybe, BUT maybe NOT. Maybe Cyprien backs off knowing he got away with a helmet to helmet and doesn't want to risk the penalty and big fine. Who knows.

Baldinger called a lot of the Tech games on regional Fox Sports Net. He got to see Mahomes up close when many people were ignoring Pat because he wasn't playing at a powerhouse on national TV.

Aaron Rodgers is - at the very least - the most fun QB to watch I've ever seen...

Until now.

I would disagree that Tech fans took it for granted. We all knew PM had special talent. We also knew that our defense would **** things up and everything would land on PM's shoulders. Hated to see him leave early, but the Chiefs got a special one with Mahomes

KLEMKO: If indeed he is your quarterback next fall, what encouraged you about Mahomes in Year One after seeing him start the final regular season game?

SCHWARTZ: The biggest thing to me was his progression. In that Denver game he came a long way from the preseason with the stuff he was able to do. He didn’t seem phased at all. That’s a credit to Alex as much as anybody, being in that room and helping bring him along. It’s a credit to all the coaches in that room too. And it’s a credit to Patrick. It can be easy as a backup quarterback to let things slide and say, “Well if I get in the game its not really that important anyway,” but he didn’t do that. Everybody can see his ability to throw the ball, but the mental progression is what really stood out to me.

Schwartz just being pc.

Say you are out in public with your lady and you spot a chick that is just drop dead gorgeous. A good 10/10. Probably not a good idea to be like "holy shit that girl is WAY hotter than you babe, peace out!"

You kinda just keep those thoughts internal, and remain a decent human being.

Well he’s right. Everyone was surprised how much progress Pat made mentally from preseason to week 17.

That was more impressive than any of his throws.

Baldinger is one of very few in the media that actually takes the time to break down the Chiefs and make informed commentary. Love it.
