I want to show you my newest sports card...

The sports card market is absolutely booming right now. I sold off enough of my other stuff to buy this. There are only 10 of them. It is indescribably beautiful.

Travis did it before Mahomes. Tyreek changed his. Rashee changed his. On and on. Say for insatance you want a full name auto of Rashee Rice. Panini is not the place to get it. That would be Leaf.

They are all lazy now while complaining about having to sign while being paid for it. Most just give a squiggle of a line, and if you are lucky you actually get their initials.

I also think a little of it is because they don’t teach kids how to write in cursive in school anymore. If you’ve been seriously collecting for a long time, you can definitely see where this was phased out.

Over paid, but I've always liked this card and got tired of waiting on a 10.

Added another Mahomes rookie to my collection. Many seasoned collectors don’t even know these exist. I had been waiting on one to show up on eBay for a few years. It’s from an 18 card Texas Tech multi-sport set released by Panini in 2017 that was only sold in Lubbock at the stadiums & bookstore and online.

I'm done bidding, so one of you with deeper pockets might as well take a look. I think it's a pretty neat card.

I’d love to own one too, but they will undoubtedly release more dual signed Witt/brett cards in the next few years, so prices should inevitably come down some. It’s just that these are the first ones and Bobby is hotter than the sun right now. If were you, I’d try again in the offseason.

I'm sure they'll make more. I really prefer on card autos though and knowing my luck the future cards will be stickers. The only thing I didn't like about this card is their names in white get lost in the gold. Really liked everything else about it.

Kelce was absolutely a steal. A Galactic RC falls 1 per master case, which is 16 boxes. If he stays with the Chiefs it stays in the PC. If not, it will be a fairly easy flip.

I couldn't pass up the Montana. It's too silly not to and was the cheapest Chiefs Montana auto I could find at that time. How many checklist autos have you seen of his? And he sign a lot.

I love the Doubleday. $15 was no brainer. Every time I visit ANC, I stop to pay my respects. He is not very far from Claire Lee Chennault as well.

Last trip home to visit the family, I brought back a frame holding 9 of my favorite cards/players from the late 80s early 90s time frame. These weren't necessarily my best cards as those were in the 1 inch thick acrylic cases. However, in the frame I have:

1990 Leaf Will Clark
1986 Topps George Brett: (as a kid I wanted every George Brett Topps card, I should try to check that off the bucket list one of these days)
1986 Donruss Jose Canseco
1982 Fleer Cal Ripken Jr
1986 Topps Traded Bo Jackson
1982 Topps Rickey Henderson
1989 Donruss Ken Griffey Jr (Never managed to get myself the Upper Deck rookie)
1985 Donruss Darryl Strawberry
1983 Topps Rune Sandburg

I went ahead and hung the frame up. Though now I'm thinking perhaps swapping some of the cards out. Perhaps picking up some random Salvy or Bobby Witt Jr card. i don't necessarily want to drop a ton of money or cards or making sure it is a 10 gem mint or whatever the grading scale is. Realistically, I'm just going to look at it on the wall every day. Do I just buy whatever I see off ebay or any advice in the card market nowadays?
