You can't look at snap count in a vacuum. If he is a good blocker, he will probably be in more on called screens and runs, where he would never be a target. Not sure what the breakdown looks like? It sounds like he will be playing more in the slot now with Rice possibly going outside more, and maybe he is more productive there. He's definitely a disappointment, but yesterday was at least a step in the right direction.

At least of those catches were quick screens specifically designed to get him the football, though. I don’t remember the third but I feel like there’s a good chance it was a similar deal.

What? That's what we did most of yesterday, quick throws, horizontal crossers,
exploit the short middle with TE's. That was the gameplan yesterday and it worked. If he's going to get more snaps in the slot moving forward, that will continue. Was it a step in the right direction?
