If rice ends up being as good as he appears to be it’s frustrating.

Same reason it was frustrating that Pacheco took as long as he did to get starter

Same reason it was frustrating jared Allen was a special teams player.

Self scouting.

We should be able to self scout in scrimmages to find out what we have.

This shouldn’t just randomly happen in the midst of multi mega million dollar televised sporting events.

But, with Hardman and Toney out today, we all said this is an opportunity for Rice to get more targets. He did. And that's a good thing!

I think it happened with Mike Danna a bit too

The guy kept flashing over and over and we reluctantly wouldn’t give him much playing time until fairly recently.

Have we stopped to think that maybe having Toney and Hardman as sure scratches as being a good thing?

Wasn’t there only 5 WR’s available today? We run 4 WR sets all the time. So playing time going up and more targets was a given. But, it’s been weeks of seeing Rice YAC was special but they didn’t increase his snaps or targets until today. Better late than never.

And some of you, for some bizarre reason, seemed to think Andy would play rookies on offense early in the season unless he absolutely didn't have any viable alternative...

Yes. And hopefully the results of today will work to his favor and he'll get more targets going forward. Hopefully Andy took note and feels the same way.

Eh, I’m ok with bringing these guys up slowly. Andy is super old school and he doesn’t want these young guys getting other guys hurt. Pacheco especially. If he didnt fully understand pass pro last year he could have gotten mahomes killed

This is revisionist history.

Danna was serviceable, but didn't start really flashing (as such) until Cullen got here.

He's an average to above average player, and he's likely to get a pay raise this offseason, but let's not act like Mike Danna is some all-pro that wasn't identified.

Rice is a rookie, it was always going to take awhile for him to have the majority of the offense digested.

And Jared Allen was three front offices ago.

And running backs don't exactly have a long shelf life, especially when they run as hard as Pacheco.

Just because we don't know the reasons for who's on the field doesn't mean shit is random... if you can compete for the 1 seed with CEH and Moore on the field, save the other guys for the real season.
