Trade whatever possible for a LT prospect

I don’t care. If there’s a LT in this draft that they feel can be a good quality LT, do it.

I don’t care if it would cost three 1st rd picks. Mahomes is not gonna be this athletic for much longer.

It needs to happen

The contract has tens of millions in rolling guarantees. It's not easy to get out from under regardless.

He's not. But he point is even if he DID if you actually wanted to use the built in escape hatch you ****ed up in your evaluation.

Of course. But just look at this thread.

We all know the ONLY way to solve the LT position long term is to get one in the draft. Look at all the teams and names going around.

Unfortunately nobody has the patience for it.

The best part of signing a guy like Cam Robinson is that we will be right back here in two years bitching about how the LT position STILL isn't solved.

How many contracts we have given out since Sneed? Jones and Creed have got top $ contracts last year. Mahomes at $66 million and we will have $100+ million in the OL and on the cap.Mcduffie and Karlaftis is coming up next year. You paying them too? Reid is at the top of his game, you paying him too?

There's just not a GOOD solution. Robinson may be the best solution available but better than bad does not equal good.

Anyway it's all gonna be moot. The moment this board gets fixated like this, the guy signs somewhere else.
How does this team get worse based upon that? I am expecting Nick Bolton to be kept and maybe a smaller type deal for Turk Wharton. Everyone else is probably gone.

Guys. They’ve got 3 draft picks in the top 66 and 4 in the top 100. This is the best draft capital Veach has had in any draft he’s ran except 2022.

They can get 3 starters and a rotational player with those picks.

We’re fine

Karlaftis and McDuffie won't even be relevant when it comes to cap space until at the very least the 2028 off-season, and that's if they get extensions which I'm not sure Karlaftis will.

2025: Last year of rookie wage scale
2026: 5th year option
2027: Typical miniscule first year cap hit

It's Jawaan Taylor all over again.

I'm done talking about it at this point. Put all your eggs in that basket. I will be here when it doesn't happen.

Since we will not be picking in the top 15 anytime soon, drafting a LT is a crapshoot anyway. We cant give up the draft capital to move up anyway. Need youth all over our roster.

So draft another “developmental” LT prospect again like Conerly bc we can’t move up?

Best part about doing that is you burn yet another 1st rd pick and you’re right back to where you’ve been for the last 2 years bitching about the LT position still isn’t solved.

I’m done with developmental projects. We’ve gone down that road twice already.

I mean the team that just kicked our ass in the Super Bowl pays literally all their good picks and FAs from the outside too.

I'm not saying it's the best way to sustain a dynasty, but you can win a lot of different ways. We are far from paying too many people.

Exactly why you stick to your draft board and keep taking shots.

The long term answer to the LT problem is already on this roster, in spirit if not in name.

The ONLY way this ever gets solved for real is if a guy like Kingsley develops.

Every other option has big drawbacks.

People just need to accept that there aren't a lot of options, and there are no perfect/easy solutions. It's not about how as much as it's just about getting it right. Whatever they have to do.

Those developmental projects are the only way this ever gets solved.

Go ahead and sign Cam Robinson. Then we can bump this thread in a couple of years when everybody is bitching about his contract and wishing he was gone.
