Hopkins will be 33 in the offseason. No GM should give him a large payday.

Yeah I don't see Goodell doing that. They're going to wait until the Chiefs activate him before he's suspended. Like Dune said, out best bet is to bring him off IR as early as possible and let him serve his suspension while trying to finish getting back in game shape. Gonna be hard because he can't practice while he's suspended.

Yeah, that’s what I meant. Just probably wasn’t clear enough. I just want us to utilize the suspension as recovery time. Not just keep him on the IR until he’s completely healthy, then he has to serve his suspension.

Man it would be great if he could be kept for an agreeable amount of cash, we need some WR stability, Hopkins still has "it"

Rice, Worthy, Hopkins, and a mid round draft pick is a good start to the room for next year. Probably find room for Hardman and Watson somehow.

Add that to Gray getting better. Maybe Wiley contributes something. Fair well tour for Kelce too?

Rice won't be back to start next year. Investments are still needed at WR.

Exactly, and with the injury he may never be the same again, he already wasn't super fast before the injury

Can we not just have Rice on the active roster even if he’s not actually going to play? I’m sure he’s able to run by then, just list him as questionable to start the season each week and hold him out of games. Would the NFL force him to be on IR?

No you'd just be down a roster spot.

CBS' Johnathan Jones is saying Hollywood will likely play on Christmas Day. Looking for a source, saw it on FB.

Well for one it’s still worth it to have him back as soon as possible, and second i’d assume he’s suspended right away to start the season if he’s technically on the active roster so he shouldn’t count against the roster while suspended.
