Alex Smith expresses his desire to return to Chiefs in 2018

GO AWAY YOU ****ING LOSER. LEAVE NOW AND NEVER COME BACK.

Alex Smith expresses his desire to return to Chiefs in 2018

Quote:
The Kansas City Chiefs' season ended earlier than they anticipated.

The No. 4 seed in the AFC coughed up an 18-point lead in a 22-21 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday, setting up an offseason of uncertainty.

Chief among that will be quarterback Alex Smith.

Despite leading Kansas City to a 10-6 record and AFC West title, the Chiefs are said to be open to trading the veteran pivot. The team set up its future by trading up in April's draft to select quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Smith has just one year left on his four-year, $68-million contract, and intends to see it through.

"Yeah, I mean, you kidding me? I signed the contract," Smith said when asked after the game if he'd like to stay in Kansas City
, according to Nick Shook of NFL.com.

"I'm under contract for another year, so like I said, I'm not thinking about anything else. Right now, obviously disappointed. Like I said, I felt like we had a good chance, and it's gone."

Under Smith's direction, the Chiefs raced out to a 5-0 start to the season, hit a lull in which they lost six of their next seven games, then won their final four contests.

On Saturday, Smith threw two first-half touchdowns to give Kansas City a 21-3 cushion, but went 5 of 10 for 33 yards in the second half.

The 13-year veteran wasn't prepared to dive further into his future so soon after the loss.

"The game just ended," Smith said. "We'll get into all of that in the next couple of weeks."

thats because youre the ONLY hysterical pussy lame enough to frame the argument in this dishonest beta cowardly way

in the beginning of the season alot of people thought this was a very talented team.....capable of going 12-4....winning in the playoffs etc...

NO ONE thinks that literally all of the other 52 players (except for alex smith) are shitty, except YOU

stop with this lameassery

Chiefs defense has allowed 22.3 points per game in it's last three postseason outings.

Last year the Patriots defense gave up 20.3 points per game in the postseason, and 20.6 points per game in their previous Super Bowl run.

The Ravens defense gave up 22 points per game in their postseason run.

The Chiefs defense has been MORE than capable of advancing in the postseason since 2013.

How can you expect the QB to capitalize on such opportunities when he can't even do it in the regular season, though?

The reason the Chiefs lost Sunday is the same reason they lost the games to the Giants, Bills and Steelers that knocked them out of contention for a bye.

What the **** does this even mean?

The Chiefs special teams forced a goddamn turnover and gave Alex the ball at the ****ing THIRTY with a chance to effectively end the game.

He LOST YARDS and forced an inexperienced kicker into a tough kick.

Mahomes doesn't have to be Joe Montana II. He only has to get a ****ing field goal in a half.

not only did they only allow 22 points they gave the ball to the offense with short fields via turnovers

they got chewed up in the second half on the ground...but last time i checked..when your offense literally doesnt make 1st downs....you get tired

I didn't realize the salary cap situation you are in. Given that, seems like there's a zero percent chance that he's in KC next season.

That's wrong. He jumped too soon from what I saw. The play itself seemed stupid. Nobody across the middle, Harris running a two yard out into the flat.

It was a tough ask for Alex with pressure in his face and Wilson to catch a ball a little out of his reach. The blame for Alex goes to that third down mental meltdown. Go back further to Charles dropping the ball. Ect ect.

Shit, and here I had COMPLETELY forgotten about the impending, end of regular season, Baby Lee Sock Party 2018!

Well done my apprentice.

To your post:

I have many times voiced the underrated aspect of just how much a defense relies on effective QB play.

"TEAM SPORT"! "TEAM SPORT"! they cried, over and over again...

Oh yes,the Alexsexuals were both right and very, very wrong on this subject.

The short take and bottom line is this:

And contrary to what Joe High School Football has to say about the subject, all three phases feed off of each other in terms of energy, grit, fire, and above all else; OUTPUT.

When I see Marcus Peters running down the sideline and COMPLETELY flipping his shit over a well thrown pass and/or finely executed offensive play, I know EXACTLY what is going through his head:

"Now HERE is a mother****er that I can turn a ball over to, and he's going to actually DO SOMETHING WITH THE ****ING THING"!

HUZZAH, BITCHES!

You see, assuming that Marcus couldn't take his INT. to the house, he knows that if he puts Mahomes and the offense within scoring distance, his TEAM is going to get that 6 points. If not every time( but believe you me that day IS coming ), than more often than not.

This makes Marcus VERY happy.
This makes Marcus feel hopeful, energized, ALIVE, and ready to smash heads for his team and VERY reliable Quarterback.

A symbiotic relationship is born. It then grows, matures, spreads its way across the roster, and creates a level of play that enables everyone involved to perform at their very best, and sometimes to exceed even that.

The ASS11's of the world simply can not achieve this. But, since we're no longer concerned about such under performing nonsense at the QB position, let us focus our efforts and attention upon the upcoming work of Veach and his crew.

2018 is going to be out of this ****ing world.
