Keep your political bullshit in DC and out of all other forums

We're seeing an uptick in people randomly throwing out political bullshit in threads in the Lounge. Don't. Report people who do. They'll get booted from the thread for a first offense and more than that if they continue.

The end.

(Oct 2020 update)

Due to continued reported posts and general frustrations around inserting politics into absolutely everything, and idea came up to restrict people to DC, much like the Romper Room.

So, everyone gets three thread bans as warnings, and after that will get a vacation in DC (the other forums will be view only). The thread bans and DC vacations will be posted in the transparency thread.

Just like several other rules, there's of course gray area and it doesn't really matter where the line is drawn, because those who can keep politics out of the Lounge will never come close to the line and those who can't will insist on running right up to it.

Generally speaking, we're talking about political opinions or blatantly inserting politics into a thread that isn't even a little bit on topic, or otherwise leaking DC BS into the Lounge or other forums.

We couldn't fit the wealth of informative and productive political knowledge into the Lounge, so it can be found in DC... such as wishing murder on government leaders and great tracks like Own the Libs.

I personally find that sort of stuff even MORE useful in a thread about Patrick Mahomes, but like everything else in the world, all we can do is throw the people you disagree with into a group like "thin skinned" and feel slightly better about ourselves.

Now I'm hongry, . . . does anyone know anything about BBQ?

Maybe I should start a thread. A jack off and Jackstack thread!!!

------

The Chiefs are great, coffee is great. But you don't make 20 years on a strictly Chiefs and coffee diet.

I don't bitch about shit I'm not interested in that shows up on the BB. ANd I certainly don't call everyone who posts shit I'm not interested in sewage and garbage.

So by all means, jack away.

Never heard a word from the mods or AustinChief. Followed up several times. Not even a response. Thats a bad idea. Nothing. It was a missed chance that could have possibly changed the path that led to the extreme rancor and personal insults that are a fact of life in DC these days.
I've advocated for this exact same idea.

Not surprised AustinChief didn't go for it, as he spews as much vitriol as anyone.

It does surprise me he wouldn't even man up and address it, though. That's pretty wussy of him.

To this day, that has always amazed me.

You join a football forum dedicated to the KC Chiefs and you spend all your time arguing politics in the DC forum of the board.

That's ****ing strange to say the least.........

You would prefer aggressive-aggressive?

What you mistake for passive-aggressive is politeness. What's ACTUALLY passive-aggressive is all the political snipes from the same people who decry talking politics.

I'm willing to live and let live, but I'm not willing to let things be discussed solely by people who don't share my perspective without offering mine into the mix.

But if you're disappointed in my lack of aggression, just let me know.
