****The Official Save Our Chiefs Movement Thread****

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Organization:

pr_capone: Paypal / FB / Media Contact
Marty: FB / Twitter / Media Contact
GoChiefs: (Cassel's Reckoning) - FB / Research / Youtube

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This team is just plain awful. The only consistently good play on offense comes from Bowe and Charles. Daboll is, I'm sure a great person, but an awful offensive coordinator. While I understand that trying to lead this team is "like trying to drive a car with 4 flat tires"... it is incomprehensible to me how he can misuse the little talent that he does have. Romeo was the right man for the job regarding Belcher. He is still not the guy to coach this team into playoff contention and a Super Bowl.

*****. I hope the rumors of the Titans being interested are true. I hope you did get your walking papers on your recent trip to Dallas. I cannot wait for you to be gone from Kansas City. You took an ailing team and smothered it Cassel, ineffective FA, and bad picks in the draft. Statistically... you are the worst thing to ever happen to Kansas City Chiefs football. I will be thrilled when your termination is announced.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is still an unresolved issue with the donation from sports nutz and both parties are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. Because I cannot afford to pay for a 2 hour flight by myself... we are only planning on flying a single banner. Effectively, we only have $960ish in the bank until the matter is resolved.

If the funds come available in time for the banner to fly, we will fly a second banner as well.

If you add something less specific, like "DRAFT A QB IN THE 1ST", you'll have less erosion of support from the fire Pioli crowd, but there will probably still be some who would rather defer to Pioli's successor (who might choose to trade for a QB instead, for example).
I wasn't EVER suggesting we mention Geno Smith by name.

By and large, the people who don't want a QB are also the people that think Pioli is staying (or should stay). We'll NEVER reach those people, regardless of our message.

Again, other than beating a dead horse and satisfying some fans who just can't be patient, what purpose does another "fire Pioli" banner do?

All the MORE reason to get the "draft a QB" message out.

Trading for somebody else's sloppy seconds is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

You never mentioned it, but it has certainly been suggested. I use it as an extreme example to illustrate the point.

The primary purpose is maintaining a consistent message and the secondary purpose is to avoid coming across like some fantasy GM wannabes.

This has already been accomplished. No need for any more banners.

That perception existed the second the first banner flew.

See, you just lost me. I'd rather trade for Brett Favre than draft David Klingler, Tommy Maddox, or Dave Brown (the three 1st round QBs taken the year Green Bay traded their first round pick for Favre).

I think it would be great if the Chiefs use the #1 pick overall on a QB who ends up being a stud. But I'd prefer getting a stud in any way possible over drafting a #1 bust and if a new GM isn't better at figuring out which option is most likely to lead to a stud than I am, we've got the wrong new GM.

OK, like I said, we'll have to agree to disagree on this.

So who is that guy you're trading for then? The Brett Favre that got traded from Atlanta to Green Bay doesn't exist in the modern NFL. Guys don't sit on the bench anymore, if they're decent, they play.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter.

If they don't draft a QB, we won't be having anymore of these discussions because I'm ****ing done with this stupid ****ing franchise.

If he doesn't exist, then the smart new GM Clark hires won't trade for him and all will be well. If the smart new GM thinks that Kirk Cousins or Ryan Mallet is a better prospect than any of the draft prospects, then I'd rather have Cousins or Mallet. I know I'm not as smart as the smart new GM that Clark should hire and, when it comes to talent evaluation, I sure hope he's smarter than any other ChiefsPlanet poster too. That's not a shot at CP posters, it's a sincere hope.

Just putting it out there.

If the smart new GM thinks Cousins or Mallett is a better prospect than any of the ones in the draft, he isn't smart. He's a ****ing idiot.

OK, whatever you say. If only Clark would hire you to be the new GM. Our Superbowl drought would be as good as over.

The #1 fallback cop out on Chiefsplanet.

"Why don't you go be a GM!"
