****The Official Save Our Chiefs Movement Thread****

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Organization:

pr_capone: Paypal / FB / Media Contact
Marty: FB / Twitter / Media Contact
GoChiefs: (Cassel's Reckoning) - FB / Research / Youtube

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This team is just plain awful. The only consistently good play on offense comes from Bowe and Charles. Daboll is, I'm sure a great person, but an awful offensive coordinator. While I understand that trying to lead this team is "like trying to drive a car with 4 flat tires"... it is incomprehensible to me how he can misuse the little talent that he does have. Romeo was the right man for the job regarding Belcher. He is still not the guy to coach this team into playoff contention and a Super Bowl.

*****. I hope the rumors of the Titans being interested are true. I hope you did get your walking papers on your recent trip to Dallas. I cannot wait for you to be gone from Kansas City. You took an ailing team and smothered it Cassel, ineffective FA, and bad picks in the draft. Statistically... you are the worst thing to ever happen to Kansas City Chiefs football. I will be thrilled when your termination is announced.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is still an unresolved issue with the donation from sports nutz and both parties are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. Because I cannot afford to pay for a 2 hour flight by myself... we are only planning on flying a single banner. Effectively, we only have $960ish in the bank until the matter is resolved.

If the funds come available in time for the banner to fly, we will fly a second banner as well.

Don't agree.

This situation is so bad with Pioli that I liken it to an individual having an arsonist as a best friend. Yes, you can buy your dream house today, and it's true that this particular house will never come on the market again. However, the arsonist will burn the mother****er down on day one, so the purchase is moot before you ever finalize the contract.

Pioli is truly that bad. We must expunge this loathsome ****.

The arsonist MIGHT burn it down on day one.

He might also get caught after the first month and get taken to jail, leaving you with your dream house intact.

Would you rather HAVE your dream house with a CHANCE of losing it versus never having your dream house at all?

The very thought of it is silly.

But it's moot, he's getting fired. Running another banner with "fire Pioli" on it is a complete waste of time.

But oh well, it's not my movement. I'm just one person.

I don't think there's any "might" about Pioli destroying the situation. Furthermore, if he's empowered to draft a QB in the first, I think he'll be in KC for at least two more years.

So you think Pioli could "destroy" Geno Smith?

A drafted QB could be here for over 10 years, not two.

And again, it's moot. Pioli is getting fired.

By the way, if we suddenly fly a banner that says something about drafting a QB NOBODY, especially CLARK, is gonna think that's a de facto "keep Pioli" sign. Nobody.

The point about Pioli has been made. No amount of banners is going to change it. Not flying a "fire Pioli" banner isn't changing the subject or giving up. FLYING a "fire Pioli" banner is completely redundant.

Agree completely with Htismaqe.

The banner needs to be either pro Breaston or pro QB.

Or maybe....

SAVE BREASTON, DRAFT A QB

I hope you're right about Pioli getting fired. I'm a little worried about it.

I think we can safely say that Crennel is done and that the team will have to get a new starting QB (although I'm not certain that it will be with the #1 pick). I'm not so sure about Pioli, unfortunately.

I think you're better off hammering the consistent message (that Pioli is the root of fan discontent) home and letting the rest take care of itself.

ALL I WANT FOR XMAS IS A NEW GM - SOC

If Pioli is already as good as gone, you still win.

Well again, if Clark is bringing Pioli back after EVERYTHING he's done and all of the losses, NO AMOUNT of banners will change it.

We've made our point. All we can really do now is wait. Or add to our message, which is what I think we should be doing...

We'll have to agree to disagree. Whether the point's been made or not, I think it's valuable to continue to make it until the objective is accomplished. And any "add" to the message inevitably subtracts from the support SOC has developed, IMO.

Advocating drafting a QB subtracts from the support SOC has developed but continuing to fly "fire Pioli" banners doesn't?

The whole "fire Pioli" message is what created the divide in the fans in the first place.

There's NOTHING divisive about wanting to draft a QB. Nothing.

I don't perceive a divide. Not a meaningful one, anyway.

The people who support SOC are obviously all on board with "FIRE PIOLI".

If you add "DRAFT GENO" to that, you're going to lose some of the people who want to fire Pioli and draft Barkley or fire Pioli and sign Alex Smith or fire Pioli and get two mid-round QBs to compete with Brady Quinn, or whatever.

If you add something less specific, like "DRAFT A QB IN THE 1ST", you'll have less erosion of support from the fire Pioli crowd, but there will probably still be some who would rather defer to Pioli's successor (who might choose to trade for a QB instead, for example).
