Good thing we've got a superb veteran WR coach that will definitely fix the problems.

The biggest problem as I see it, is that Patrick has absolutely no idea where half the receivers are going to be on any given play.

To me that’s why he’s double clutching, and bailing on pockets and questioning what he sees.

When he came up, Kelce, Hill, even Sammy, DRob and Pringle were almost always exactly where they were supposed to be on every single play.

It’s easy to play with confidence when you know where your options to go with the ball are going to be.

These guys running routes on this team, other than Kelce, just don’t have a clue.

Either we have to change the playbook/coaching or we have to start drafting smarter receivers.

Maybe this is why most of Rices catches have come on designed plays. Still should be taking the vast majority of snaps just due to talent alone but something is very off in how WRs are developed on this team.

Either take some decisions off their hands so they don't have to think while they play or be better coaches and figure out how to teach them the playbook as-is without seemingly needing a whole season to barely play half the snaps.

Leading the NFL in dropped passes, contributing to the lowest PPG in the third and fourth quarters this season of any team particularly the last few weeks.

Defenses are way better in 2023 than in 2018. Look how many NFL defenses are playing great right now compared to the offenses.

IMHO, this is why people think Mahomes is missing shots - an offense predicated on anticipation and option routes, he doesn’t know of guys are going to sit, drift, break off a route, etc. You see it over and over this season, so many throws that look slightly off, but on replay, seems clear Mahomes expected something different than he got.

Mahomes has his misses, but I think they’re being overblown and wrongly attributed to him in many cases.

Yeah. This is probably the biggest problem and drops. Moore and MVS should know where to be by now but don't. That's them being sucky WR's.

“Beat ourselves” is correctable. Frustrating for sure, but a few plays that we expect to make are all that keep us from being undefeated right now.

I expect to still finish 13-4 with wins being closer than we’d like and 1 more wtf game. That likely gives us the 1 seed and a great chance to get back to the Super Bowl.

I just don’t see Mahomes struggles lasting. Maybe I’m naive or too optimistic. The greats just don’t stay down for very long.
You could convince me of that after 4 games. Probably 6.

We're 10 games in. Expecting anything to just kinda fix itself may be a bridge too far. This may be something that needs a hard re-set; another example of how hard it is to go back to back in this league.

When you hit a bad drive or two, you figure "okay, back 9 will be fine..."

When you hit 6 of them and then another on 10, you just have to put your driver in your bag and hope that when you play your next round, you've gotten past your shanks. Having a hot dog and a beer won't fix it - you just need that hard re-set, get away from the course, come back with a clear head a different day.

This is starting to feel like we need a hard re-set.

That is clear as day when he is dropping dimes to Watson when everything goes right.

That Watson go route (33 second mark) was honestly the most overlooked and arguably the single worst play of the night.

Guy got a free outside release on a vertical and for no reason at all started bending towards the hash. I saw that one from the stands and shot a couple texts out about it. Just saying "Man, what in the actual **** was he doing? That's a six! That play was there and Watson just didn't run straight..."

It was as bad as the MVS drop without being as noticeable. It might have been worse.

Can we talk about how on that last play in the video the personnel is: Kelce, Gray, Bell, and Hardman? That should never ever happen on basically any play ever outside the 2 yard line.

OMG EXACTLY! When he got outside release, I started yelling, "TD!" Then he bent it towards the hash, and I was like WHAT IN THE STUPID **** JUST HAPPENED??!!? That's route running 101. A NFL WR is supposed to know that u go verticle in that situation once u get the free out.

Mahomes sure knew!

I think a lot of us thought this stuff wouldn't happen bc guys like Watson were in this system last year. Generally guys are on the same page and get better mentally in year 2
