At this point after two SB wins in a row he should have looked at the biggest need, PROTECTING MAHOMES....This has already lost you a SB, and spent what ever cap/draft picks to lock up his blind side!!!!! NOT ****ING GAMBLE OF A ROOKIE AND SHIT TARD MORRIS!!!!! **** Me MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone

Fuaga was never attainable for us
Guyton has been absolute ass all year. He’s been terrible
Mims has as many snaps in the NFL this year as he had all of college and he hasn't missed a single one all year.

He's not a LT, though and that's what the Chiefs need

I disagree. He is clearly already one of the greatest but he is not the GOAT QB right now. He still has a lot of work to do. It doesn't help that Brady took an AFCCG and SB away from Mahomes. Even Mahomes said that Brady has that over him.

Brady was very similar in that regard.

Mahomes is holding onto the ball and getting himself blasted. Again, the pass rush win rates don't lie -- our guys are as good at any OL in the league at giving Mahomes the 'accepted' 2.5 seconds to survey and throw.
So if the OL is passable what’s the answer? That’s a scary thought that his OL is giving him enough time and he’s simply not making his throws.

Mahomes has always taken hits when he dances around and makes a throw. He's made some big plays taking hits too. WASP?

Been asking that for a bit as well.

Honestly - my answer is the same as it was this time last year -- QB1 needs to play better.

I mean this is almost literally the EXACT conversation that was being had last season. Last year everything was blamed on the WRs. This year everything is being blamed on the OL (more specifically, the LT).

And yet when the playoffs started, kid just played better football even with limited options at WR. We have to hope that he'll do so with less than ideal circumstances at LT this year.

I don't love that he's been sacked 36 times (though I'll note the 'most times of his career!' stuff is a little disingenuous -- he's barely in the top 10 for times being sacked among QBs this year and that's only because Watson and Minshew got hurt and Jones got benched). I don't love that he's been hit 100 times.

But as I've been saying since about week 4 -- hit the balls you're supposed to hit and you'll have to take fewer snaps and get hit fewer times. Lost in the hand-wringing is that when we have to execute 12 play drives to move the damn ball, it's that many more times that Mahomes has to stand back there. Hit more plays further downfield and you won't have to run as many plays and won't get hit as often.

And throw the ball on time. He's been late aaaaaalllll yeeeeeeaaaaaar. He just has been and anybody that's been looking for it has seen it. So many people have shown dozens of examples where he just doesn't trust what he sees.

Just gotta play ball, Pat. Play on time. Make the throws. Just play better.

Because that's it. That's all that will truly save the day for this team. If your superstar is ordinary, you're not gonna win a championship.

Sure.

But there's a difference between what happened in Wasp when he stood in there, absorbed the blow and delivered the ball and what's been happening most of this season.

This season he's been freezing up, patting the ball, moving into pressure and then getting hit.

O.City has been among the more vocal commenters here in pointing out a bunch of times where he just won't stand in and deliver a football. He ends up getting happy feet, rolling about, usually getting hit ANYWAY and then instead of standing in there to get hit and get the yards, he gets hit and it's 2nd and 10 so he gets to be exposed to the same hit all over again.

He's gotta play on time. And if you're gonna get hit, stand in and deliver. Too often this year he just hasn't done that. He's taken unnecessary contact to no benefit.

Even when he has made plays after scrambling to be. You look back there was an easier throw or play earlier he should have made , I thought D hop was open early on the scramble play to Kelce last week .

Yeah that's true. It's like having an inconsistent line and WRs have played into his fallback weaknesses. I'd have to go back and watch the first couple of games this year to verify but I think he started the season playing much more on schedule but when Rice went down and other teams saw they could exploit our Ts he's regressed.

So he can bitch about how meaningless preseason and regular season games are. That's the only reason. He thinks we should rest all of our good players until the AFC Championship game apparently.
