Broncos have new boards since then? LOL Crying boards?

No one was screwed by the refs. You're creating fake scenarios.
You're a Cincinnati fan. What you know about football you can put on a tip of a match.

Now go make sweet dirty love to your esiason jersey and cry your eyes out snuggling with it after.

That was the most frustrating part of the losses to the Broncos in that era; the Chiefs would be winning the game for 55 minutes and then Marty would go conservative and the prevent-a-win defense would hand the game to the Broncos.

I always thought, probably more like hoped, that he would learn yet when Marty went elsewhere, the pattern continued.

Elway and the Broncos should have a footnote during those years with a big thank you for the gutless coaching of the KC Chiefs.

It wasn't the losses, it was how they lost. Marty was afraid to win.

Yup. He absolutely got what he needed under his wife's name. Then when the NFL started testing for that drug he stopped taking it.
His decline was super fast all of a sudden.

Dude thanked papa John and budweiser instead of thanking his team mates. It's obvious corporations bought Superfarce 50 and that was proof

They circumvented the cap to keep Davis/Elway...who were both up for contracts.

They dont sniff the postseason without Davis...they know it...and we know it.

They had that planned though. That's why they stacked the defense because they knew both were returning

And don't forget diving at knees.

The Broncos certainly cheated on the salary cap and they certainly used foreign substances on their jerseys, but I actually think the biggest factor was coaching their offensive line to dive at the sides and backs of defenders' knees. They were able to bypass their weakness at quarterback and had a bunch of training camp running backs running for a thousand or more yards.
