That’s 6 DL alone. Feels like one of Harmon or Nolen will be there in the mid 20’s and it will be the perfect opportunity for Veach to own Buffalo again by trading in fromt of them for his guy.

I like Nic Scourton, but I feel like he’s secondary to those guys bc of the value they can provide as interior rushers. Harmon and Nolen have legit high ceiling potential.

Idk. Feels like Veach is gonna want to pounce on one of those guys falling. Really good class but Harmon and Nolen are clearly a level above the rest.
I definitely prefer Nolen and Harmon to Scourton, and I think that's where I'd go. But I do think DE is a pretty desperate need, and I don't know what's left at 62. I've seen guys like Josaiah Stewart that I like a lot, I just don't see Spags being remotely interested

Here’s my question, who could we take at #31 that would be a day 1 starter?

We’re set at OT for now, DE’s never seem to play year 1 in KC, we have Kelce at TE, maybe IDL but I question how big of an impact they would really bring in year one, a WR would get playing time but we’ve taken 2 with early picks recently, a RB could for sure but there’s not really a great fit in this draft for us at #31… I think a S (Starks or Emanwari) or CB (Barron or Amos) are best bets to see the field immediately or an OG (Booker, Jackson, or Ratledge).

We’re a SB quality team, I’d like to see us get a day 1 impact player in the first to help us win another.

It's definitely FS or RB if you're looking for a "starter", but you can still draft a DE or DT that can give you that kind of impact even if they aren't technically starters.

I don't think I believe that (1) Emmanwari is an NFL S and (2) that a rookie S could displace both Cook and Conner from the starting lineup.

I also think, with the Fulton signing, a CB you draft is going to be AT BEST CB4 on this roster.

Maybe a rookie G could win the LG job to start the year, but there are internal candidates with more experience and - arguably - just as much upside there.

I DO believe that a WR in Egbuka or Burden, or a DT in Nolen or Harmon, or some of the other DE/DL types can be players who get significant year 1 snap counts and are contributors, if not starters. You probably could find a WLB (if it's Jihaad Campbell) to displace Tranquill. Probably.

But this isn't a team with a glaring HOLE that HAS to be filled in Round 1 at this point. And that's what you want, because when you aren't tied to trying to find a starter at a specific spot, you really can go BPA. And that's nice.

The FS is was talking about is Starks. If his combine pushes him down to 31, he's probably better than Cook day 1.

I think Kenneth Grant or Tyleik Williams would play a big role as rookies.
