Should the Chiefs have traded up to snag Matt Ryan?

Lets have some fun!

Of course that would have meant giving up Dorsey, but at least we would have our QBoTF now.

Thoughts......

Ryan is the most polished QB to come out in years, you can tell he'll make it. He's confident he stands tall in the pocket he looks off receivers and doesn't lock on.

I'm a mizzou fan. and that would kinda suck. I KNOW you're kidding. but, let's see--10-15 picks too early for maclin, a few rounds too early for daniel, MAYBE good value for hood--I've seen him as a possible second round pick if our defense shores up.

I really don't think trading up for Ryan would have done much for us. It would still be the same coaching staff putting the same leash on him. The same playcalling asking him to hand off up the middle twice then drop back on 3rd and 12 with no protection and try to make a play. The same threat of being yanked for half the season for throwing his first INT. He would have the same WRs with balls bouncing off their hands. The same O line NOT blocking for him.

Where he's at, they let him try to make plays and don't behead him for mistakes. Thigpen would probably look better there than here.

A good running game like they had against us would do wonders. It's a vicious cycle we are in. We can't pass because we can't run. We can't run because they know we won't pass on first down until we are down two scores.

It's mostly because our team is reeruned, it's not like Atlanta is a superior talented team.

Yeah, not serious. There's some talent in Columbia, no doubt, but at this point, Mizzou's kicker is a player I'd really like to snag in a late round, if possible.

I don't think Daniel could play for Herm. Daniel is too competitive and likes to win too much to ever settle for what Herm wants to put on the field.

It sucks for him that he's been such a great player up to this point, and someone's going to take a tape measure to him at the combine and cross him off the list.

You're probably right--he'll go in the 5th/6th range, but it wouldn't be completely shocking for him not to get taken at all. Didn't Baltimore grab Troy Smith in the 4th? Another short guy...

You're saying that he actually "plays to win the game"?
