But the problems we’ve seen during the regular season in prior years didn’t go away during the playoffs, Chiefs just found a way to overcome them. Like a bad receiving corps last year, and bad rush defense prior years. Bad offensive line is harder to overcome than those things though. See the Tampa Super Bowl. |

Andy wasn’t using a game that would have given the Chiefs with a win, essentially a four game lead for the AFC #1 seed as a “preseason game”.
The stupidity. |

This loss makes it less likely they can rest starters, 1 seed is not going to be clinched before the last week now. It would have been better to lose any other game.

Kelce had 8 yards. Gray made a couple plays but we won't win many with Kelce that uninvolved.

The Chiefs were sloppy in almost every phase of the game today. It was a cringeworthy performance. Andy usually has a couple of these games each year. I don't know why, but it's like they forgot to stay alert and play smart football. This was a team effort today... a total sloppy effort to lose a game.
Maybe the Chiefs have been believing the PR about themselves...

I do think Pat looked more decisive this game. Yeah, he still had some mistakes -- that first pick. But I thought he seemed willing to just rip it a few times.

It’s so obvious as soon as they trot out for the 4th and 2 that Allen is going to scramble for it. Run a double qb spy or something. Because it should not be that easy

And the D's lack of impact with first contact was very apparent and I'm not sure how these egos go back to fundamentals and remember that wrapping up is paramount. It was not a day the Chiefs want to remember, but one they need to never forget. If they just blow it off as "a loss" and not look at the huge problems that lead to it, they have more heartbreak ahead.

Wasn't on the defense. BUF had 10 drives, scored on 5 of them. That's not great, but it's also not bad. Our offense had 9 drives tonight. Managed just 3 scores. Just one score in 4 drives in the second half. I've been saying it for awhile now, and I love great defense, but in today's NFL, you need to score points on offense to win big games. We've leaned on the defense and STs, and fortunate calls by the refs, and watched our offensive efficiency slowly decline, until the last few weeks when we needed poor coaching decisions by the opposing team to get Ws. Well, today we finally scraped the bottom of that barrel. If we score 33% of the time, we're going to get beat by most decent teams, plain and simple. I mean, obviously no one intended for the Chiefs to go into this season without Rice and Hollywood, or lose Pacheco to injury, but that's what happened, and just like last season, we're a popgun offense. Which is fine if they're efficient, like say scoring around 45%+ of drives. But that's not where we are. And for some reason we traded for one of the best possession WRs since Jerry Rice or Larry Fitzgerald, and we don't target him more than 3-5 times a game. We'd rather run screens to Perine, or waste targets on Watson and Hendershot. Well, it came back to bite us finally. Fortunately, not big deal, just a regular season game, and I have little doubt we'll have the 1- or 2-seed regardless. But then we'll be playing against teams that can actually play offense and defense. We need to get back to players over plays. We just can't afford to waste targets on PS players that may or may not execute in the playoffs.

We didn't even try to get it our best play-makers at the end. Travis had 1 target all game? DHop had 3? JuJu had 1??? When you get down to your last couple drives and you need to put up 9 pts, yeah, the only players that should be getting the ball should be your best play-makers, imo. Currently, that would be Travis, DHop, JJSS, and Kareem. After that, Mecole, because he's been in those situations and has come up big for us in the past multiple times. You want to dink around and be cute, fine, do it earlier in the game. But when you have to have it, when you're down to your last couple shots, you have to make them count. We effed around and found out today.

17 yard run is the longest by a RB this season. Need juice at RB badly.
Draft one of the studs from this upcoming class
