So, we should sign another WR, right? [Edit: RIGHT!!?!]

It's being reported at this time that Rice is expected to be suspended half the season or more.

If that's what's up, the good news is: he'll be good to go for December/January.

The bad news is, here's the WR depth chart:

Marquise Brown
Xavier Worthy
Justin Watson
Skyy Moore
Kadarious Toney
Justyn Ross
Nikko Remigio
Cornell Powell

Available WRs:

Hunter Renfrow
Allen Robinson
Odell Beckham, Jr.
Tyler Boyd
Michael Thomas
Marquez Valdes-Scantling
Russell Gage
Zay Jones
DJ Chark
Jamal Agnew
Mecole Hardman
Jakeem Grant
Randall Cobb
Marquise Goodwin
Chase Claypool
Deandre Carter
Sterling Shepard
Richie James
Jalen Guyton
Scotty Miller
Laquon Treadwell
Byron Pringle
and some others

Thoughts?

God, that would be a nice problem to have. A more athletic version of Nacua with JR’s genetics, not to mention Jerry’s treasure trove of knowledge about every facet of pass catching, route running, how to read/beat defenders . . .

I wonder if being mid-May plays a role?

The KC lab guys are super high on Thomas. I personally thought he was pretty over rated in his prime. But for a low price i'd kick the tires.

You think 8 WR's are making the team?

It's the fit, he's an X receiver that can run all of the underneath possession stuff so when you mix him with Kelce and the outside speed it means odds are he should have an easy time finding space.

I counted the list although Kelce is in there so 7...7 is more than teams usually carry.

Ahhh you said RBs I think in your post, but you meant WRs... ummm yeah I think we'll utilize 7 WRs over the course of the season, I'm expecting Rice will be out half the season which should give us some time to learn what we've got in Brown & Worthy, as well as get Watson, Sky, and Toney some attempts.

What do you think?

I'm predicting appox 4.3k yards passing.

I think odds are another vet WR gets added at some point.

I think it'll look like this

Brown, Worthy, Rice and Watson are absolute locks to make the team. I think Toney makes it also just because of talent and return ability...that leaves one 1 spot for a vet.

Hence I think Ross and Moore are toast, Ross is probably a PS player.

Yards wise with the additions of Brown and Worthy making Kelce's job easier I think Mahomes gets closer to 5k again.
