The CB was not remotely in position for that to happen. At best it would've been a PBU. Fairly routine throw and catch. Solid play, but it's not moving the needle at all whatsoever for a top 15 pick.

Payton did what he has always done.

Panicked and overspent on an average (at best) talent at a “need position”. Similar to when he overspent on Taysum Hill. Lolol

The fun part is going to be Denver starting out something like 4-4 (against a bunch of teams without a real franchise QB) and watching the Denver fans come out with hope in their eyes.

Then the real part of the schedule happens and the team implodes over the following month. My money is on them winning 5-6 games. Just enough for Sean to get approval to pick a new GM and for them to go all in next offseason…screwing their cap for the next 5 years while trying to win with Nix.

Donk Double talk. You kind of DID say Denver would be good. You said they won 8 games last year, so this year they should win more. Well if they win more than eight games, that would put them over 500 and that would make them technically a "good" team. They're not and they won't.

Bo Nix is a stud. He operates in this Sean Payton offense like a veteran. It would be a surprise if he’s not starter week 1.
Zach Wilson is also having a great camp with the Denver. Strong arm, his throws on time, asking good questions. One coach told me he is rejuvenated.

Zach Wilson was perfect in 7 on 7 drills. Arm strength, arm talent, & pushed the ball down the field.

Was really impressed with how well he is picking up the offense when I was in QB mtgs last night.

Will be interesting battle for QB2 between Stidham & Wilson.
