Interesting it was not the Raiders but the Rams who would have drafted Nix. But there is so much misinformation going on, I doubt anyone will say for sure where he would have gone in not for Denver. Rams most likely just wanted another QB gone before they picked their DL

So Nix = Mahomes + Elway + more athletic Drew Brees?

None of it frankly matters anyway. Veach has proven himself 10x over since he assumed the GM role. Paton.....LOL. |

And even if a lot of GMs would have traded for Wilson in that situation (very debatable, as a lot of people had acknowledged that he was in decline and losing athleticism), they wouldn't have given up four 1st/2nd rounders and three talented players to get him. And then turned around and given him a ludicrous contract with a $50 mil signing bonus before he stepped foot on the field. |

Isn't it time for a contract extension for General (Reach) Paton?

Don’t forget that he was also hand picked by the greatest developer of QBs in the history of the game who discovered an undrafted Romo before anyone else. Just waiting for the comparisons to Manning, Montana, and Brady.

Yeah, the drafting him in the 1st does seem like a stretch regardless. I would think they'd have other needs that could've been addressed with that pick, besides taking a QB that wouldn't see the field for 1-2+ seasons.

Bo Nix is not a better prospect than even Mac Jones
