Good. The guy needs a fresh start and Denver needed to turn the page.

So like I said before the season....Paytons offense is heavily timing based and built on peppering the middle of the field. Things that Russ has never been able to do. The "numbers" he put up were on junk 50 50 balls and neutered check downs

Will you pretty please do the Chiefs so we can have something nice to look at side by side?

So they piss away the future for Russ then TRADE A FIRST for a COACH that Russ doesn't FIT HIS SYSTEM AT ALL. How dumb is Paton? How bad is that ownership group for keeping Paton after a **** up that seriously put his team YEARS further behind in what should have been a total rebuild. They threw EVERY THING at competing when it had no chance from the start That roster was light years behind the Chiefs and now the chasm grows further

Does Paton have anything on his resume at Denver that would be considered successful?

Coaches hired?

Players drafted?

Free agent signings?

Big trades?

Deft salary cap maneuverings?

Is this guy part of some secret Broncos 4D plan to tank for 10 years and come back to dominate the league for a decade? I'm not seeing it and again I ask, how in the hell is this guy still employed by the Broncos? His history as GM there is littered with the debris of his failures and an albatross hanging around the neck of the franchise salary cap.
