Right, it makes sense when you consider it. Oftentimes, a simple incompletion is the preferential outcome of a dropback.

You'll see that often in Tweets hyping up CBs as well. For example, someone might post something saying "Opposing QBs have a passer rating of 9.8 when targeting Sauce Gardner. They'd earn a 39.6 passer rating if they just threw every pass into the dirt."

Basically just means you're probably better off not targeting the guy he's covering because an incompletion is the best-case scenario.

I thought this guy might be our best corner based on his game in AZ. Pretty comfortable saying he is.

He’s got 3 passes defenses in only 2 full games starting. He’s so quick and technical in coverage. He’s gonna be a hell of a player.

Big fan

Still a super small sample size, but McDuffie is living up to his hype so far. So excited for this kid.

Our secondary played well today. Great job of making tackles and limiting the big plays.

McDuffie was an absolute stud yesterday. He was glued to the receiver in key points of the game. He has All Pro written all over him. A truly shutdown corner.

I know PFF sucks, but it’s all we got so I would be curious to see what his grade was this past week. Anyone have that?

There was a play, I don't remember if a ball was caught behind him or a RB ran past him but man, he caught up to him so damn fast. He has some crazy acceleration.

I remember that play. I was watching and thought, "Wow, who is #21?" He was moving at cartoonish speed. It took me a minute to click through my mental roster and identify him since he hasn't been back for long.

Yeah, he was really impressive. I think there was one play where a receiver got away from him and made a catch, but even that may have just been a coverage design thing. Otherwise he was blotting out a receiver on every play.

His speed shows up in games. Glad he let that injury heal up.

I can see why Chiefs did not expect him to still be on board. Great makeup, Elite game speed. Great technique.
