I wonder if some of it is mental health related. That would sort of explain some of it

Oh really? You don't say. Gosh, you're so smart. Did you figure that out on your own, or did Veach tell you that himself?

Look, I get it. According to you, we'd have to give up 3 picks, or a couple 1s, or whatever scenario you like.

Here, I'll make it easy for you to pin that medal on our chest:

"Veach was powerless to do anything about the WR room since the end of 2021. he had no choice but to draft Skyy, hang onto MVS, let Hardman go/then bring him back," etc. and so on.

Yea you! Give yourself a big handjob

JFC dude it's not that complicated.

Teams are going to assume the Chiefs are picking at the bottom of every round. This isn't rocket science, and nobody needs Veach to tell them that. It's common ****ing sense.

I think the idea is that the QB is the difference maker.

It really wouldn't though.

If he were having mental health issues, they'd likely shut him down for a bit.

Not give him a random amount of snaps.

Seems more like he's just fallen out of the rotation at this point.

It’s true and that gives us a lot of leeway.

To answer his question, we do have others though. Kelce is obvious. Pacheco has been churning since late last season. Rice with the ball in his hands has potential to be a difference maker. Hardman was probably the best gadget guy in the league before he got hurt with us last season. Toney clearly has insane potential with the ball in his hands as well.

We really just need Mahomes to play up to his standard and get better production from MVS and Toney. If we can get those few things straightened out, I think we go right back to being a top 3 offense at worst.

There ain't no mystery.

Dude missed training camp to heal up from knee surgery.

Training staff did maximum treatment to get him ready for opening night and he looks slow on jet sweeps and has drops that really mattered.

So team figures that might as well use him less and let him get back to full speed.

And now that he is near full speed, when Chiefs call a play for him, he thinks he is Mike Alstott and breaking tackles and hitting defenders trying to tackle him and looking like he thinks he is invincible.

Chiefs will get him more snaps and plays as they build towards postseason. They may need him to run more plays so that he gets a little tired and stops trying to run over every tackler and trying so hard on every carry.

That story doesn't match this snap count.

16, 19, 2, 17, 25, 30, 13, 12, 7.

To my recollection he's not been listed as questionable on an injury report.

Hell, I think someone pointed out earlier he hasn't even been on the report at all in the last 2 weeks.

12 snaps, 7 snaps.

I'd lead with the fallen out of the rotation.

But if that's the case, why would Andy provide reasoning that would create expectations for change?

Makes zero sense.
