Simply put, it's the rating a quarterback would have if he threw 2 passes and they were both just incomplete.

Wow. That's an impressive interview. Cerebral, thoughtful dude who knows how to engage the person he's speaking to. Raised right. Got a future in media if he wants one.

His college stats from 2021 are pretty insane. Gave up 16 catches on 36 targets with 0 TDs and 5 PBUs.

The number of quality DBs Veach pulled out of the 2022 draft is ridiculous. And to think he could've also drafted Tariq Woolen in the 5th instead of (seemingly for now) whiffing on Kinnard.

Over the years we were always frustrated that our corners were not aware of what's going on because they were e not using their brains. That clearly will not be the case with this dude. Gives a lot of confidence that good offenses won't be able to screw with him.

I'm not sure of the exact formula they use for passer rating, but you could drop back and throw 10 passes directly into the dirt, 0/10 0 yards 0 TDs and 0 INTs and you'd still have a passer rating in the 30s.

In order to get a 0.0 passer rating you'd need to throw some INTs. Something like 4/26 42 yards 0 TDs 3 INTs would probably get you a 0.

That does make some sense. An incompletion is better than an int and you need to allow for taking points away for picks.
