Yesterday I was in DC to meet my longtime friend from NJ along with his wife and daughter. They were in town for a gymnastics tournament for the daughter.
We ate at Bodega, one of my favorite tapas restaurants. https://www.yelp.com/biz/bodega-washington Not my photos but the food we ate... Grilled Chicken Skewers with paprika emulsion Chicken croquettes with cream cheese Sauteed Shrimp with garlic onions in Spanish olive oil served in sizzling skillet Grilled Skirt Steak Roasted Red Peppers stuffed with beef short rib- this was incredible Sauteed meatballs in red wine Wild mushrooms in gravy Bacon wrapped dates breaded and quick fried Crispy Potatoes with paprika sauce and light cream Grilled Octopus with lentils Catalan Bread with tomato relish and Manchego cheese

no pictures since I was too busy, but last night we had family over for my youngest's second birthday. I made 9 homemade pizzas, ranging from cheese to spanish (dry cured chorizo, green olives, peppers, manchego). Damn it was a lot of work but tasty.

I cooked for 90 minutes while they ate, rotating pans as I only have 3 and 2 racks. I didn't eat until all 9 were done. I'll snap a pick of the leftovers at dinner tonight.

Color is off. I cooked these to 125, then seared. Center is right at 130, according to my trusty Thermopen.

Easy dinner night here. 10 hour workday plus lifting after work make for easy Lewdog cooking.
Cast iron cooked boneless, skinless chicken thighs. Baked potato with melted cheese, diced white onions topped with sour cream and applewood smoked sea salt from Pike's market in Seattle. Pretty soon I'll be limiting carbs more and potatoes will be a rare occurrence. **** carbs!

Ha, thanks man. Notice I didn't post a plated pic because I went cro-magnon on a pile of pork off a paper plate. The sugar-free rub and no sauce go against the entirety of my KCDNA, but I got to cut some lbs before spring training next week, ha!

I don't know how he eats that much in one sitting.
Like, that's insane even if he's only eating 25-50% of each of those dishes.
