The Panthers were favored to win the SB. Period. End of story. But the Broncos had a defense that was just too damn good and it destroyed the Panther's offense. The Broncos offense did just enough to win the game GOING AGAINST A TOP NOTCH--BETTER THAN KC--Carolina defense.

Manning sucked this last year, he got injured--again--and then came back when the Broncos were essentially in a playoff game and had to have home field advantage.

Exactly...who is Russel Wilson? Now look at him, the brightest new QB face in the league. Who is Sherman?...the new player people love to hate. Lynch...eccentric running back. Owner...ex-big wig at Microsoft. Lots of budding, recognizable star power to fuel their future global initiative. Games in Germany? Games in Mexico?...better have David Beckham-type personalities for non-Americans to recognize.

It's sports entertainment...

Do I think KC will get the shaft this year....yes. It's already started with Bell's suspension being reduced by one game.

am i the only one that thinks, as long as nfl stadiums, which are funded by local taxpayers, that all games should stay in america.

It's one of the biggest shams...next to military contracts and Wal-Mart subsidies.

Wish I could force people, who dont give a shit about my product, to pay for the building where I produce it...while raking in a quarter of a billion annually.

How do they keep a secret like that? No way in hell they have kickers and player in their pocket. Brady wouldn't throw a game and Cam wouldn't either.

No way in hell the Donks get to the Superbowl playing on the road.

Co-worker of mine who is a huge Donks fan called it in week 6. Said Peyton would get hurt/benched, Osweiler would hold down the fort, they would get the #1 seed, win out for Peyton and he rides into the sunset.

Said co-worker has correctly called 3 of last 4 Superbowls (teams participating and winner), and the dude makes a shit ton of money wagering on games week to week. I ask him how he does it - he laughs it off and just says, "you gotta know people in the know, that's all......"
True story. ****er won't give up his souce/intel either.....

Then the most accurate kicker in the NFL missing an extra point (first in 3 years)...and Brady "overlooking" a wide open Gronk for the 2-point conversion. It was all just magic....I mean, I dont blaming him for not looking to his go-to guy, with the game on the line, and throwing into double coverage...it's what Brady does.

Then you have Cam...just staring at a fumble in a close SB game and over-throwing receivers. Magic....welcome to the big business world of bull-shitting the unsuspecting public.
So if games are decided before they are played and the Chiefs in your view are always getting screwed by the man...why do you follow the NFL? If I knew my team was predestined to lose every year I would not spend one minute or cent in that league! Were you also a die hard Washington Generals fan?

Dawson went on record saying the SB was rigged....KC hasnt sniffed a championship since...and have been "cursed" in the play-offs since. How many times have they been 13-3?

Who is going blow the whistle on their cash cow...and become famous doing something else? Who is going to cross the mob? Who wants to be labeled a cheater?.... media would destroy their lives. The NFL is the last in line as far as this profession.

Not everyone is on the dole...just vetted players and most definitely the refs. How many times do you see...even after watching from multiple, slowed-down replay angles..make the wrong call? And the ex-ref in commentary booth disagree with it...NFL command center in NY has final say on calls. One central hub to dictate outcomes...

I've thought about this and it's fairly simple; the players, coaches, and GM's aren't even involved, because they don't have to be. It's all about the refs and making calls.

Bad or questionable calls change the ebb and flow of the game, and there's only so much you can do about it( apology letters, anyone? ). It's not about "tuck rule" moments anymore, it's a series of micro managements that effect a desired outcome.

The league desires big names in its big moments, the Super Bowl being the biggest of all. Sure, you may get an underdog scenario out of sheer fate once in a while, but not as much as you used to. You will NEVER see another 85' Super Bowl again. It will not happen.

Because they cant control every aspect of random events. They sure as shit can steer it into a favorable position though.

Look back at the Detroit/Dallas play-off game. Lions were about to go up two scores late...and they picked up a flag on an obvious PI penalty. It would have essentially ended the game with a FG. They proceeded to barrage the lions with multiple PI penalties which immediately got Dallas into scoring range. That was the most blatant example I've seen...

Pass interference should be a challengeable penalty...but never will. It's too valuable of a "judgment" tool....and can swing games late.

Yes, KC is being held back because of the ramblings of Dawson... you're a loon.
