Guess it is a chicken or the egg situation one would think to a certain extent the targets are going to respond to winning at the line and getting separation. Not like Pat is ignoring guys wide open.

True though, we do not have the high first can't miss picks in the draft to throw at the position and so far the OL has taken a higher priority of free agent dollars. So taking a shot with 2nd round picks seems to be the option which is probably less then a 50-50

WTF? Now it would've taken 3 picks to get Ridley? On what planet? You just making this shit up as you go? This must be what you mean by "revisionist history" . . . Just go ahead and keep adding picks/compensation every other post.

You'd have had to outbid the Jags.

That or better picks.

Either of those seem like a good idea?

Why would the Falcons have taken worse compensation from the Chiefs than what they got from the Jags?

And Aiyuk is gonna be one that's actually available and is a legitimate high end #1 WR. I don't really care about the mental jerk off game of these mid tier guys.

It’s both. If they had drafted any two of

Metcalf
Mclaurin
Diontae Johnson
Darnell Mooney
Puka

Etc the draft strategy would have worked.

My issue was always the refusal to add a vet after trading Tyreek and letting JuJu walk.

They doubled down on Skyy.

He was a 2nd round pick. Of course they did.

Draft and develop doesn't work if you don't play guys.

I'd go after a solid cost efficient vet like DJ Chark and then draft a WR in the first rd.

And yeah I'm calling Atlanta every day about Kyle Pitts

You don’t develop guys that can’t play. They already had a full year to evaluate him post-draft and their evaluation was dead wrong. Green Bay spent a 3rd on Amari Rodgers. Similar player to Skyy but year 2 he wasn’t on the GB roster. Cut in training camp.

I get missing on draft picks. Hard to evaluate college guys and everyone, even draft gurus miss. What is unacceptable is not to understand the player when you can watch him every day in practice.

Additionally, they still should have left cap room to make a move before the trade deadline and they irresponsibly did not.

That left them “ no cap room” to grab a Hollywood or something later.

JC. Okay, fine. Have it your way. it would take 3 picks to get Ridley. At that point, no, obviously Ridley wasn't ever worth 3 picks. Or at least never worth a 3/5/6.

And what you're saying is that there isn't another "high-end WR" that Veach could look at in in 2024? He's the only one? How does that happen?
