About the only thing Payton has done since getting back into coaching is showing up in the headlines for opening his fat mouth. He's overconfident and really pissing off a lot of people around the league. I mean, that's what he always did, but now it's happening about every other Tuesday.

This is the same guy who encouraged bounties in his locker room. And the same guy who ****ed up the Saints' cap and then got the hell out of dodge the very year it all came to a head and the team would have had to scale back.

He was a scumbag then and he's an even bigger scumbag now. And scumbags have a tendency to get their asses handed to them in this league.

I 100% expect him to spontaneously burst into flames just like Gruden in about 3 seasons. Three years of coaching your cornball QB will do that to any man.

Almost fell out of my seat when I saw 13 championship game appearances. Apparently that’s counting his days as an assistant. He has 10 as a HC. Still not too shabby.

I think he has 21 playoff wins now.

How many scumbags can you squeeze into one organization? A bounty hunter, a war criminal, a Walton, Elway and the other raging alcoholics in the FO, and Mr Limited.

Yikes

Like I said a few months back, here's the better Sean Payton Comparison:

Mike McCarthy
1 SB Appearance
1 SB Win
3 Championship Game Appearances
11-10 Playoff Record

I haven’t seen you this cocky since you were touting huddlemaster Keesum over training camp pick-throwing Mahomes.

Remind me again how that one turned out for you again?

The second chapter of Payton’s story has yet to be written. His first chapter was markedly better than Andy’s:

Andy Reid’s 14 years in Philly: 130 W’s 93 L’s (.583), 8 top 10 scoring offenses, no Super Bowls.

Sean Payton’s 15 yrs in NO: 152 W's 89 L's (.631), 12 top 10 scoring offenses, one Super Bowl win.

Oof. Compton is genuinely stupid

"And you got to think right now, they [the Chiefs] don't have Chris Jones in that building in Kansas City. And then without Chris Jones -- No. 1, they're not the greatest defense anyway -- but then without Chris Jones, they're abysmal on defense. They need to have Chris Jones. But if they go into the year with not having him, like, it's just going to make it that much -- it's going to be that much more of a hole. And yeah, they are thinner at receiver than in years past, and I do think this is the time where all the hot dogging out there by (quarterback) Patrick Mahomes, it catches up to him. More turnovers."
