I find Qwitzatteracht, the golf game, fun and uplifting. It's a fun workout!

Just got the new Cleveland Zipcore full face 2 wedges. I've only been able to swing them at foam balls, but they are some amazing clubs. I like them much much more than my Cleveland CBX 2s.

Somewhere around 1991 or 1992, I drove out from NJ with a buddy to the Dean Witter Memorial Tournament. I walked the course and hung out in the Dean Witter hospitality tent.
The course was never as hard as I saw this weekend. Scheffler nearly snuck through the pack to win. If he can fix his putting he would win every other event. He was 1st from tee-to-green by a WIDE margin and DEAD LAST in putting and yet he nearly won. The dude was 2-15 feet from the cup on nearly every hole. It was surreal. Spieth was right there and they barely showed him on TV. He bogeyed like 2 of the last 4 holes that killed his chances. Fowler looked good and he is playing much better. Jon Rahm has been sliding the last few tourneys after his big win. Justin Thomas has been horrible suddenly. I think Matt Fitzpatrick is going to be in the Top 3 at the Canadian Open this weekend.

How in the world is this going to work? They are so different in their approach to tournaments, money and schedules.

I haven't watched one second of LIV so besides a few things I've heard/read I know little about the difference between the two. 54 holes vs 72 holes and then the team event part. Guaranteed money I guess for some. I bet Greg Norman gets a big payoff.

I'm in the market for a new set of irons. I've narrowed it down to the Ping G430s or the Titleist T300s. I have swung both clubs and the Pings have a better feel, but I hit the Titleist farther and with better spin control.
Anyone have an opinion one way or the other on these two choices? |

Doesn't surprise me that much that it happened like this in the end. Only that it happened this soon.
The PGA Tour was definitely dead in the water as far as its legal position on antitrust. Their lawyers probably told them as much. Settlement was always the most likely outcome there but merger? I guess if a country is offering you billions to fund your entire operation, how can you really say no? I will so enjoy all the sanctimonious moralist journalists (and Brandel Chamblee) having to eat their words and look like hypocrites though. |

I doubt even they know yet. Probably will be a combination of individual and team events. But if the Saudis are offering to fund the entire Tour in a merger, you take the deal.
