I had a good time reading thru the game thread on the huddle!

Lots of expectations being tempered right away.

But he needs to get fired this time around, to be free to go wherever he wants.

Which is a team with a real QB and a real chance to compete.
I don't doubt that's true, but if it is, Payton is even more of a fraud than I thought.

QB whisperer indeed. Too afraid to find his own.

Ten bucks says he lied about wanting to draft Mahomes in 2017.

There was a pro golfer in the Saints war room who confirmed they were focused on Mahomes.

Cardinals at 13 with Arians were also ready to grab him.

Dorsey did a great job of moving into the right place.

The issue with Payton reviving Wilson's career is the offense he runs not a match for Wilson's game.

In order to be successful Payton will have to run a different offense.

3 things we learned from the donkos loss to the Cardinals:

1) The donkos suck

2) The donkos still suck

3) The donkos will always suck

The Donkos DO suck and Russ is still an aging declining QB, but todays Chiefs preseason game is a perfect example of why you can’t take preseason games seriously.

They mean less than nothing, except for seeing some rookies and UDFA’s get some reps.

The donkos didn’t play the Saints, the Chiefs did.

Russell is only a symptom, the General is the rot. Sean would want GM duties if a change is made. Head Coach as GM rarely works. What a cluster

“Just briefly, what I told the team, regardless of whether it is a preseason game or a regular season game, you can’t stand losing,” Payton said Friday night.

“We will look at the tape tomorrow and there will be a number of things that we will be excited about, there will be a number of things that we have to clean up. We are in a race to do that now that we have an opponent on film against us. We start from there.”

Denver was penalized six times for 46 yards and fumbled twice. The offensive line was spotty. The kicking game was poor. There’s plenty for the Broncos to work on ahead of their Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.

They didn't have McGlinchey but everyone else looked awful against rookies and non name players.

The funny thing is, he already laid the blame for last season on the head coach.

If [when] he fails this year, he's going to make himself look completely incompetent.
