They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

They have. In the playoffs last year he was lined up as a RB and they had a stretch pitch play to him. They also do the draw play which against Denver was a complete failure.

I want them to start having Toney and Hardman lined up in the backfield more often and have them sit in the flat. That would force a LB to them and open up the middle of the field.

I'd love to see both of them in on a play like that and each one go to the flat on each side while Rice, Kelce and MVS run routes downfield

That’s cute. A dude on CP wants Mahomes to play QB better.

Would you agree Rashee Rice is our top WR?

Where would he fall as a target in Baltimore?

Cincinnati?

Philadelphia?

You know, the other teams contending to knock us out?

They are "fine" with Mahomes if he plays like last year. Patrick isn't playing like the best QB in the history of the sport. 2022 Mahomes is a guy that could make this WR room look competent. That's not running him down. That's also not saying the WR group is even good. They'd be adequate with Mahomes playing all worldly.

There are a lot of people that want him to play better. I'm sure his coaches are one, since they think there is nothing wrong with the WR group. Mahomes himself wants to play better.

Where would JJSS fall on those same teams? Right where Rice would.

It's not nearly that simple... If we had targets that competed with the Bengals or Philly, we wouldn't have many of the other players we have on the roster. The Ravens.... probably the #2, barely behind Zay Flowers who was taken before him. He sure the hell is better than a washed up OBJ.

Also, I'm sure Pat isn't happy with his performance this year and the WRs and QB need to get better.

At some point you put too much on his plate. He shouldn't have to play at an MVP level every year for our offense to be good.

The Chiefs WR's scored as many or more TD's in the playoffs than the Bengals and Eagles when they played us last year.

We have a better team this year and after what I saw from Mahomes in the playoffs last year, I have full trust they'll make this work before reloading in the off-season.

20 years of calling every quarterback that ever threw a ball underneath "Captain Checkdown" and suddenly throwing underneath is rock-solid proof that it's the WRs that suck.

Yeah - y'all are REALLY working through this logically.

Yeah he gained 14 yards on that play. Need more plays like that. He could be really good on stretch and pitch plays. Worst case it doesn't work and we're right back to where we are now.

You could say the same thing last year… the Chiefs didn’t have an individual WR that was as elite as Chase or AJ Brown, but collectively they were part of an offense that was overall better than Philly or Cincy.
