I've never understood holding the door open for another dude. Unless they have their hands full, I'm moving on.

You just give the little flip as you walk in and if he gets there in time he gets there in time. If not, he doesn't.

Yep. I mean if it's pouring down rain or something, I might hold it for a second. I was walking in this morning and this guy was just standing there as I was 10 yards out with only my lunch box. It was that awkward moment where I was like 'do I speed up?'. Then, I say thanks and the guy walks all slow in front of me down a narrow hall with no room to pass. If he'd of just gone there would have been perfect spacing for our 2 different paces.

Yeah.

Right now the humidity isn't too bad since it's only early October. However, in mid summer the humidity gets pretty unbearable on 40 degree days.

Yeah, there should be like a 10 foot rule. If you want to stand there for a minute, fine, but I'm not racing to the door all like oh noes, we can't let it close!

They should have a beer commercial about it. Here's to you, overly polite douchebag... forcing people to do a 40 yard dash as you hold the door open and stare at them... you'll stop and wave pedestrians across the street when you have the green light. No gesture is pointless enough to show you're a nice guy... ♫♪ Let me get that for you ♫♪
