Man when Andy got hired he was set.

Young guys in Jamaal Charles, Justin Houston, Dontari Poe, Rodney Hudson, Allen Bailey and Eric Berry. Add some vets in Dwayne Bowe, Brandon Flowers, DJ, Tamba.

And he had all his draft picks and cash.

Just the complete opposite of what Sean Payton is taking over

Payton is blowing his load now on pretty mediocre talent.

They’re spending like mad men and the desperation is a thing of beauty to watch

Payton loves the trenches. 4 of the 5 starting OL in New Orleans were drafted by Sean Payton with top 50 draft picks, so it’s no surprise he went after 2 OL early. You look at who he’s drafted at tackle, Ramczyk and Peat, both tall, long athletic tackles like what Andy likes. McGlinchey was the only one available like them after we got Taylor, so no surprise.

I think Sean is gonna draft a QB in a year or 2 while he has a vet QB (Russ) to make them a 9-10 win team in the short term.

How can it look "just like" what Andy did, and how can it be successful, when it's admittedly a completely different situation that he's taking over?

You answered your own question bud.

“Why would a new coach that’s taking over a dumpster fire of a roster and has money to spend try to make the roster better by signing FA’s?”

So you expect them to wave the white flag and quit to try to tank for Caleb Williams? You think that’s gonna fly with an ownership that fired a coach in less than a season?

And yeah that roster isn’t as good as the one Andy took over (duh) but it doesn’t mean the philosophy isn’t the same with a struggling QB

Spending a shit ton of money on this FA class is a huge waste of money. You don't HAVE to use all your cap space ya know? Maybe roll a lot over, so you can be players when there are actually blue chippers in the pool?

A lot of money on a bunch of mostly lateral talent. None of which will move the needle in a showdown with KC.

You can't underestimate how entitled that fan base is and being so bad for 7 years, and having made huge misses on both HC and QB last year. They can't use the word rebuild or talk future.

just think what it would be like to be a hC in the Broncos organization knowing you have no hope of winning the division for 10 more years.

I'm not sure anyone would claim that the donx are doing well this offseason. For example, this clown doesn't come close to erasing the loss of Jones.
