UFC 196 is going to finish with about 1.5 million PPV buys. That would put it right behind UFC 100, but ahead of all other UFC shows.

Shocking news, better sit down for this one. Ready?
Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice both failed drug tests. I don't get it, Shamrock looked like a perfectly natural 52-year old man to me, he didn't look obviously juiced to the gills or anything.

wow. Just watched the lightweight title fight of WSOF 29, and the challenger's knee got messed up pretty bad.
1st round TKO in only about 2 minutes, with leg kicks from the champ messing his knee up so bad 2 guys had to support him while he hobbled out of the cage.

Any other night owls watching some Pancrase tonight? I've never watched this promotion before.
edit: holy crap, this fight card has 22 fights? What the hell? edit2: ok, the 22 fights makes more sense now. They don't waste any time, as soon as someone gets KO'd they quickly recognize the winner, get them out, and bring in the next fight. They clearly aren't under any TV timing and scheduling restrictions, though maybe they will be for the last few fights?

Yeah, I'm usually asleep when Pancrase is going on. Either that, or a UFC event was on that weekend so I'm burnt out on MMA after its over, or there was another sporting event, or whatever, etc.

It's been a while since I've watched Pancrase. The older stuff was definitely unique.

Speaking of sleep, we're in the main card now, but I gotta tap out. I just don't care enough about who might be the toughest Japanese fighter to stay up to 5am.
