***The Official MMA Thread***

Excited about an upcoming fight? Want to make predictions, or just give people a heads-up that there are some fights on? We can do it here.

(Also a good place to complain, dicuss, and agrue about the outcomes)

I don't see the problem. Bisping ate a knee and went down then the bell sounded and Bisping was still bitching about the mouth piece while down. Nothing controversial about it.

I think McGregor is more likely to win by KO and should be a solid favorite, but that line is rather extreme.

I *CAN* imagine a scenario where Diaz is somehow able to eat Conor's left, relentlessly jabs him for 3-4 rounds with his reach, and wins late. Or maybe he keeps Conor back with his reach, and in frustration Conor charges, gets grabbed and taken down, and then Diaz uses his superior BJJ to do "real ninja shit" to Conor on the way to a sub.

Ooh, a somewhat-big name just got cut. I guess 3 consecutive losses was too many for "the Detroit Superstar". Cruickshank is a free agent.

Things are just "different" in this fight. Bigger fighter, way different weight class, better standup fighter. Its just a unique situation.

and also, even if we assume its unlikely to go to the ground, if it does than Diaz has an enormous advantage. I guess Conor earned a jiu-jitsu brown belt from someone in Europe, but Nate Diaz is a black belt under Cesar Gracie.

Right. Not saying Diaz would win but at those odds Id be tempted. I could see it happening.

Shamelessly stolen from another board, I can't claim credit for this.
