Reid is never in coach of the year discussion
Nobody gives two shits about mahomes when he isn’t the #1 statistical qb even though he’s had a clutcher run than Brady, whose entire early career was built around being the guy who just knew how to win No respect for our defense. Can’t even sniff a pro bowl Chris jones is never in dpoy discussions Since Mahomes took over at qb, not a single HC hire from that mahomes dynasty. Nobody denied that New England was a great team, but everyone knew they had refs and luck also on their side. People legit think we’re a middling team if not for the refs. Yeah we’re a little bit disrespected |

I feel like orlovsky was kind of baiting for outrage. I wish he was a lot more prepared to defend himself. I kind of agree that he may have been both siding this so he can show just as much love to Lamar and josh.

What's funny is the argument they aren't blowing the doors off bad teams like the Bills or Ravens and winning close therefore they must not be that great. Outside of a couple seasons with Moss or Gronk I don't recall the Patriots steamrolling through their schedule beating people by 2-3 scores.
It was a lot of they look vulnerable winning close games until December rolls around. Hell there would be a bad loss where they'd get destroyed and the is the dynasty over talk starts then they would go on to the AFCC at minimum. The Chiefs the last two seasons are reminding me of those later Pats teams that had some championships already. They no long care about looking sexy during the regular season, the playoffs is when their real season starts. |

He's right. NE never got the criticism we gave for winning close games. They did that a lot.

Coastal bias (both coasts) in terms of the MSM.
As for social media, it isn’t real life. Unplug from it. Beyond that fans in general are delusional. I’ve seen the Patriots accomplishments marginalized here many times as well as by fans of other teams in other contexts both online and in person. Not all fans obviously but enough to notice. |

I think Dan is shooting somewhat in the right place, but I think he's missing the core piece of it.
The Chiefs absolutely are the first NFL Dynasty to be born within the era of constant Social Media use and the 24/7 Sports News Reporting Cycle. The Patriots just barely avoided it. They were born when the most divisive sports opinions you got were in the Break Room at work, on Local Sports Radio, or from the Opinion Columns in the newspaper, and most of the crazy opinions were easily shunned. You can thank ESPN First Take for giving all the media conglomerates the blueprint on what most sports fans would want to watch and listen to for the next 10-15 years. Now any sports analyst can throw out how they feel with incredibly lacking evidence and will be parroted around like it's the truth. Combine that with general social media activity, where anyone can say what they want to misguide people, and now never before have people been more allowed to voice their sports opinion out in the open. Everything is under constant surveillance and scrutiny 24/7, deserved or not, warranted or unwarranted. So Dan is half-right, in that the Chiefs are more disrespected than other dynasties. But that's only really a product of the sports media ecosystem we have created for ourselves. |

I agree with the social media argument. These voices existed back then we just didn't here them all. It's also a schtick to embrace those jokes.
We would be doing the same thing if it was some other team making this run. I don't really understand the rigged angle. If you believe it's rigged then don't watch or if you do, when your team wins you can't get excited because it was rigged. There are people on this site that make the football is rigged argument. Of course the reply will be "well the league hates us so we are the only team not getting help" which is about as ridiculous and convenient as arguments get. And literally every fan base has them. But those fans are positive they are right and the other 31 fan bases are wrong. |

It's not profitable to tell fans of the 31 other teams how good the Chiefs are...they already know. They want to hear how their team has a chance...tearing down the world champions has a much broader appeal.
Now they are all slurping the Broncos...just like they were the Bengals last week. Sport talk shows are some of the dumbest shit on television. I cant believe people actually watch it... They are inventing narratives to drive interest where there shouldn't be any... |

I don’t think it sucks I think this fuels us, so please feed this narrative. Please dismiss us. Please talk shit. I love it.
