Teicher announces retirement
From Teicher's twitter feed:

"My 32nd (!!!) season covering the Chiefs begins today as QBs and rookies report to Missouri Western for the start of a 3-day camp.

This season will also be my last covering the Chiefs. It's been quite a ride and I've learned plenty, including ..."

The problem with Teicher wasn't his negativity. It was the bizarre and often outright stupid takes that fueled the negativity. As a Chiefs reporter, you'd think he'd know more about football.

My main issue with him is he never, ever, ever had any news that wasn't put out to the full press by the Chiefs. I think they might have hated him and froze him out very early in his career, having no idea he would somehow stick around this long. Can't remember ever learning anything from Teicher's "reporting". He was an aggregator of information that was already made public. And he sucked at that, too.

Yea well put. He was very basic and booooooorrrinng

He never adapted well to the modern social media age. At least Whitlock (love him or hate him) developed a schtick that made people Talk about him

Yeah, I've no issue with a hard-nosed, no-nonsense, brusque journalist who challenges people, certainly better than the usual access/client journalism you get. But that's not who Teicher was.
