Help me become a country person

Lived in Texas now for some time. Find country people to be cool. I've bought some guns, but I was in military so no biggie. I'm now drunk and googling shit like Remington 700s and Toyota Tundras.

Where do I start? I'm a good person and find most of my friends are good people that are from a completely different background. I can't stand city people anymore and think their pretentious behavior is pure muppetry.

Could be a generational thing. I do see guys get dressed up to go bar hopping, but day-to-day wear not really.

Screw that. I'll make you a playlist of classic female country.. there are some good ones.

Let's start with a personal (slightly obscure fave) of mine from 1971

Come to think of it last Winter a Hereford wandered through my yard at about 4 AM. It was really foggy and I was still groggy, getting ready for work. The thing barely made any noise and I just about walked into it. Scared the living **** out of me for a split second.

I can't stand any country female singers though. Or new country songs. I listen to old country music sometimes when I drink. It's like a DUI soundtrack.
Your asking for advice not giving it. Tundras suck!

Hahaha....one of my favorite country songs of all time. I still remember the first time I heard it. I was in my grandma's car, and she was playing some Women of Country compilation album.

I'm pretty sure I have that tape! I bought one simply to have a copy of LA International Airport.. ended up with Harper Valley PTA, The Pill, and a bunch of other classics

I'm rather fond of Carrie Underwood. And I'd do some really, really dirty unspeakable things to Alison Krauss.
