I love signing Thornton to the practice squad. He’s high upside with low cost. Thornton plays fast. My concern with him has always been, can he catch with those little hands but I love his speed. I really think he runs routes faster than worthy but that’s just my opinion.

Tyreek was elite at ball tracking. That plus his insane speed, and ability to cut quickly allowed Pat to be off some.

It's not just the LT, although that's the weakest link. The entire offensive line has regressed. In the run game, Pacheco was getting 4.0 YPC before he got hurt. last year, he was getting 4.6 YPC. And Hunt is only getting 3.7 YPC this year.
The o-line needs to be overhauled this offseason.

Btw I wasn’t meaning to be negative. I love that we stockpile WRs and who cares if he never contributes. I just wonder if this can help unlock worthy. I feel like against buffalo we were using him more to attack the intermediate space. Something we planned for Hollywood where worthy can run a lot of those decoy routes or go routes until he adjusted to the nfl.
I know we take a long time to incorporate WRs into an offense. But if we trusted a rookie in a simplified role is it possible we could trust Thornton sooner rather than later? Just a bandaid until Hollywood comes back |
