That's all besides the point though. If we're going to go results-based, then all you need to do is sort the teams in the NFL by record. But we don't do that. I would personally pick KC over Baltimore, and probably anybody right now. But Baltimore is right there.
Mahomes isn’t making tons of boneheaded mistakes compared to his peers. He is simply not getting away with his mistakes like Josh Allen, CJ Stroud, and others who are putting the ball in danger and getting away with it. The luck of the draw will eventually shift the other direction on some of these guys. Here’s the chart:
