I don't think you're wrong... I just don't think Brees was a clump of clay by the time he lined up with Payton. He had a strong body of work and yes, he was better with Payton. It was a great combo.

Big thing with Wilson ... is he willing to change and do the little things differently?

Will he do the same thing he did in NO, in Denver?

Keep borrowing from future resources to try to win with an aging quarterback and destroy the teams current and future cap situation in the process? Giving out highly questionable contracts to low to midrange free agents. Cutting them a year or 2 into a new deal leaving millions and in some cases tens of millions in dead money?
