He also had the Frank Clark interest pegged way before that trade actually happened.

Probably explains the hatred DJ has for him, come to think of it.

I think he forced that fumble that bounced directly back into Allen's hands though.

A team that let one of it's DEs walk and was openly shopping the other one was interested in a trade for a defensive end?!?

You don't say...

Nothing that guy has ever said was anything other than simply a best guess based on roster construction and known information.

Why would a rookie being similar to a guy we have on a one year contract, influence our interest in him?

I haven't been doing much draft-tabulation but I was looking at Todd McShay's Tiers and he didn't have any players in his tier 1 and only 9 players in tier 2. I think that isn't to far off of the number of true 1st round talent you have. That being the case as far as trading up goes it may not be worth it.

If anything, I'd trade down a little. I think the real value in this draft starts around pick 40 and goes a couple rounds. I've been mocking us trading our 1st 2 picks to Seattle for picks 40 & 41 plus some extra picks.

If you already have 5 in the top 100 and one at like 103... why not use late picks to move up from the others instead of having 18 ****ing picks?

Also the value starts at 40 maybe true but guys taken at 1-39 are likely better, "value" or not.

Because I packaged the late picks to get more picks in the top 100.

The Chiefs already have 12 picks… if anything they need to package those picks to trade up.

Value schmalue. I don't give a shit where they take 'em as long as we end up with multiple good football players. If we do, nobody's gonna care in two years what round they came in. 'Reach' ain't a reach if they succeed.

Exactly. That’s why what he said is valuable. There will be guys taken at the end of the second that in a lot of drafts might not make it to the end of the first. The deepest positions are the ones Veach has purposely left low numbers at…CB, S and DL specifically. Great draft to double dip those positions.

It’s gonna be super fun watching Veach move up and down in this draft.

Agreed. You could say I reached for the first 3 picks in my last mock, but they weren't going to be there in round 3. If they hit like I think they will, no one is gonna care that they went 20 picks higher than projected.

41. Tariq Woolen CB, UTSA
43. DeMarvin Leal IDL, Texas A&M
46. Logan Hall EDGE, Houston
49. George Pickens WR, Georgia
62. Nick Cross S, Maryland
72. Troy Andersen LB, Montana State
82. Trey McBride TE, Colorado State
94. Leo Chenal LB, Wisconsin
158. ZaQuandre White RB, South Carolina
170. Dare Rosenthal OT, Kentucky
183. Romeo Doubs WR, Nevada
231. Amaré Barno EDGE, Virginia Tech

Could also be talked into Travis Jones instead of Leal at 43.
