So happy I don’t have to watch that shit anymore. Well like once every four years I might want to tune in and see some chiefs.

PS 2 is a great nickname since drafting a CB that high and build your team around an old, washed up QB is so outdated.

They're going to try and bring that back as a new thing. I'm curious to see what the staff looks like and obviously, they need to be aggressive and smart in FA.

Don't know really what Wilson can do to restructure and open up more cap space, but he should do whatever it takes. I'd like to know how quickly Payton takes back the office space and other perks Wilson had this past season.

As a Chiefs fan, I learned a long, long time ago that if your marketing material makes anyone other than your QB the face of the franchise, you're ****ed.

If Surtain is "that guy" then Denver isn't a good team.

The parking spot and the private office will only get you so far. Wilson needs to start acting like a normal player in that locker room. He needs to let the team have his phone number. He needs to stop being a weirdo.

I don't know if Payton can fix that.

Exactly.

It isn't just what he got, it's about who he IS. Doing high knee's on the plane after a loss is just, well...

Knowmo, you realize ever second Wilson is "that guy" and Paton is still employed you are losing time on your true rebuild that I guess won't start for 3 years or so. Uh oh....

KC really might beat you every game of the Mahomes era...wow

From Peter King's MMQB:

Quote:
  • Sean Payton’s now a very rich man. Five years, in the neighborhood of $18 million per.

  • (Payton) thinks he’ll be able to form the kind of close relationship with GM George Paton that he had with Loomis, who remains one of his best friends, in New Orleans.

  • But Wilson and Brees have gotten to be friends, and Wilson has great admiration for him. So, Wilson’s at a low point after his disastrous first year in Denver. Wilson wanted Payton to get the job, and he’s willing to be coached hard by him. Wilson has been reaching out to Brees to get a preview of coming attractions. History lesson: Brees was a free agent coming off shoulder surgery in 2006, and Miami was iffy on signing him because of his shoulder, and the Saints went after him hard. Brees came under Payton’s wing with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. Sound familiar?

How old was Brees? How old is Wilson? How ****ed up was the Saints cap? Let's start with those 3.
