*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

You like that one? I don't think that game would make his top 5. IMO, he displayed a lot of the issues he needs to work on in that game.

He had numerous drop back "fade" passes. His accuracy was a bit off, even in the short game. He had an awful cross-body throw into a crowded end zone that should've been intercepted but the defender dropped the ball. He had a fumbled handoff. His intermediate passing wasn't quite there like in other games. They moved down the field with the aid of a lot of P.I's.

If you haven't already, i'd recommend (in no particular order):

Baylor '16 (and '15 if you want to see some progression)
Texas
Kansas '16
Both Oklahoma games ('15 & '16)
TCU
LSU '15

They should have Alex throw one ball deep to Tyreek Hill connection or not then give the first half to Tyler Bray and second half to Patrick Mahomes II

Prove that the Alex Tyreek connection is real and then save the rest for regular season and let the back ups duel it out without Stave.

Mahomes is correcting those issues. Like Nagy said Mahomes is raw however he has more potential and talent than any QB drafted in 2017. Might take him a year or two but what better way to learn than from Reid himself and have a proven veteran in front of you who can help work on issues like footwork and the mental aspect of the game

I posted the OSU game last night because it was one that I hadn't seen. I've seen the ones you listed, which are even better indeed.

I'd say Baylor '16 and LSU '15 are my favorites.

No way Reid sticks to a quarter for each QB. I would guess Alex gets 1-2 drives, Bray and Mahomes each get about a 1 and 1/2 quarters, and Stave cleans up the 4th quarter.

Why is Stave even getting a guarter. It should be Smitty for 1 and Bray/Mahomes a quarter and a half

Yea, I hadn't seen the LSU till after the draft.

If I would've saw it before, I would've been driving the Mahomes bandwagon myself. It was one of the most impressive games I've ever seen from a QB prospect. Really liked him before I watched it, absolutely loved him after.

I have to agree with Dan Marino- they do play alike. I thought it before he said it himself. Marino is one of the top 5 QBS I have ever seen. He had every record when he retired- let's hope PM2 does the same.

That 2015 LSU defense also had 8-9 NFL defensive players (some won't be drafted until 2018). Such a gutsy performance.
