50 Beers to Try Before You Die
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).
http://www.wisdeo.com/articles/view_post/2984 (CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"? How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

Unfortunately, they're like $15 a bottle. Next time I visit family in Wichita I might have to make the trek south and visit their brewery. |

Maybe it's me, but all of their beers have a weird after taste. I can't really pinpoint the flavor, but every single one of them has it. However, I'd imagine I'll be trying all three of these at some point. |

But every sip after that was bland and boring. Still love me some Boulevard though. |

Thick and chewy, mostly pumpkin and coffee (the Espresso Marty is fantastic as well).... a meal in a glass. I went to their taproom in OKC last year and it's absolutely a bucket list spot for stout enthusiasts. And I hadn't heard of Southern Tier Chestnut Praline... my brother drove to KC from Syracuse and was on the lookout for Tiramisu and Moka, but didn't find any.

I'd imagine they'll be available everywhere else soon, assuming where you live or brother lives they routinely get their beer in market. |

Southern Tier's sweet beers are terrible. Cloyingly sweet in all the wrong ways. The last one I tried had a strong aftertaste of fake sweetener. Many, many other breweries make better pastry stouts than those these days.

I've had the Mokah on draft before and didn't have any noticeable after taste. Everything else from them I've noticed it. Very offputting. |

That's what it tastes like to me. Don't get me wrong, they were doing the super sweet thing before most anyone else was but in the long run, it certainly doesn't mean they were doing it in the best way.

This Pueblo Vienna Lager from Fate is really nice. Smooth and not high ABV

Was just informed as I sit here for lunch to expect it to be launched in the next 1-2 weeks.

Haven't had anything from them in probably a decade. Pumking used to be tasty.
